I have taken  Estrofem & Spiro, in small quantities, for the last  5 years.
I have crossdressed, mainly in private, for the last 10 years.
During this time I have confided in no one, and have remained closeted.

During this period I have often observed 'liberal' reaction to the Transgendered when the opinion is offered in a relaxed setting where it's assumed all present hold basically the same views, and comments offered when the assumption is one of differing perspectives. In the first the tone is one of patronization mixed with contempt. In the second one observations are offered with platitudes about equality sprinkled with questionable science.

This has lead me to the conclusion much of liberal support is a mile wide, an inch deep, and given different political realities would vanish like the morning dew on a summer's day.

I would be interested in hearing other opinions.

Because of the title of the topic, I hope you don't mind me asking this question.
Do you feel that your outward appearance matches what you feel inside? Does it matter that other people see you as you want them to see?

Sometimes I think even though personality is unique in each person, we should at least try to fit some common traits of the gender we want to project ourselves unto the world. Of course, I'm not talking about androgyne or bigender people. They are fine just the way they are.

I  usually present a male persona, although, for reasons I'm unsure of,  I normally include something female.
And my normal gait is early John Wayne at his most feminine.

After reading my post I'm not sure of its purpose and suspect it was the wine talking.

But I should take the opportunity to say how much I treasure Susan's Place, and all the 'girls' who make it so special.

You all have lifted the spirit of this aging irascible wannabe more times than I can count.

You must drink really good wine....I total agree with this statement.  Well said.

I'll take shallow support over outright attacks, targeting and persecution.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
