Is it right to not tell your lover that you are transgendered until you two decide to have sex? Are you then at fault if they leave you because of that? Or are they just cissexist? (choose one answer for both questions)

I ask this because I got in a heated argument with a stranger about this. She believed that the woman (who was heterosexual) in question was completely cissexist for leaving the transsexual because he was transsexual, but the man didn't tell her that he was transsexual until they were about to have sex and I saw that he was most at fault for not saying anything beforehand.
So, I ask you to see who actually thinks what on this matter.
