I am going backpacking through Thailand next summer(I have no plans for srs, ever)...you should defintiely bring money and try the Thai food. It's nothing like the Thai food here.

Also bring Murray Head's "One night in Bangkok" on your music player.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  I had surgery with Dr Suporn Dec 7 of last year.  I decided to take traveller's
checks.  I didn't have any difficulty converting them to baht at the bank across the street from the clinic.  You can convert
$ (and I assume traveller's checks) at the hotel,  however the bank will give you a much better exchange rate.

Travel safe,
Elaina

Have been in the hospital in bed since the 19th, had surgery on the 20th, i dont know how anyone deals with this but its driving me insane to not be able to move out of bed.

surgeons all differ in how long to keep a person in bed.  mine was definitely 5 days and drove me mad as night sweats made my hair a matted mess.
others in London are up next day,  same variation everywhere.

Elle, are you out of bed? How is everything going?

I am finally out of bed tomorrow, get the packing and everything removed. Looking forward to being out of the hospital, had some great nurses, and one who was completely a bitch. I made sure to tip two of my nurses 1500 baht because they deserved every penny of it.

That is a great news Elle, remember your first walk as a woman. Happy new year sweetie. Please keep us informed of your progress.

Walking has become the most difficult process, I dont know if its the incisions or the swelling but it hurts to walk so I have to walk like a duck with my legs spread so far.

You will be fine. Don't worry. Even though most of the doctors recommend walking, it is safe not to walk too much after a reconstructive surgery for the first 10- 12 days just to keep everything in place. And the funny thing with pain after surgery is that once you wake up the pain is terrible. With every hour it gets better and better... In a few days you will be out of pain. And the thing is that you will forget it all after a few weeks. Did you start the hormons? Just remember that the worst is over, and all of this is normal and expected...

Everything is going well, discomfort here and there, dilation has been fine and I think I've kept the 6 and 3/4 depth still, only certain things annoy me like random headaches, that could be from hormonal imbalances, or maybe just dehydration as I dont drink enough water. Today I am having some necrosis skin removed, and I am off back to the US on Tuesday, plan to upgrade my plane ticket as I cant fathom being in coach for 14 hours from japan to DC, more than anything I just want to feel better, be able to walk normal, and regain my energy. The most annoying part for me is the fluid discharge, it grosses me out, and I am constantly recleaning it while trying to fall asleep.
