Hi everyone, my name is Dylan, I'm 24 years old and I am a pre-op ftm individual. I have come across this site a few times in research of transgender topics, so I decided to finally join the site.
I have known I was a guy for a long time but repressed it when I was younger because I didn't know it was an option. I then tried to come out at 16 to some people in the queer community, but it didn't go well and so I went back into the closet until I was 19 and in my sophomore year of college where I came out to my friends and family. My friends were for the most part supportive and those who weren't I lost touch with over the years any how. My family on the other hand is still trying to deny my transgender identity and it can be a struggle for me. I hope joining this community will help me to find the support I am looking for as I am about to start taking hormones finally.

Hi Jennifer *waves* can't wait until I get enough posts on here to put up a picture and such, spent about 25 minutes earlier trying to just to read somewhere that I have to wait.

Hi Dylan,

Yes I did the same thing when I first came here. You probably read that you need 15 posts to unlock your secret powers! ;D
Welcome to the family and good luck on your journey. :icon_flower:
