How has your fashion sense changed since you came out?

When I was in denial about my ->-bleeped-<-, I wore really baggy clothes so that people would not suspect anything. Then, after the third week of college, I started telling my closest friends. I realized that I will never be happy unless I act more like myself. So, my style has changed from baggy clothes, to more tight fitting garments, but not skinny jeans. I'll get those some other time.

I think I'll start incorporating feminine clothes to my regular male attire. Perhaps I should start with something simple, like scarves (the really sheer, light ones)? They're soo comfortable and cute. I'll also start wearing cardigans and yes... that's about it for now, unless anyone here has any good ideas. Oh, and regarding underwear, I'm sticking to boxers lols.

Girl's say I can put together a pretty good girl's outfit and some asked me to dress them, so if I ever transition, I know I'm fine lols.

How has your fashion sense changed over the years? Did you ever mix guy and girl clothes together? What do you like to wear as a girl? As a guy?

i think our fashion sense evolves and improves over time.
i used to wear baggy clothes too, but now i wear only skinny jeans and tight tops...
i hate to look masculine or when people see me as a masc figure.

You can get away with wearing scarfs from the womens section.  You could also get away with women's jeans too, as long as they don't have maker marks to give them away.  Plush hoodie maybe?

And maybe sweaters, either from the women's section or inspired by them.

You can also pay attention to the outerwear / coats the women around you wear.  Black wool or gray or beige coats, full or half length for example.

I don't think my style has changed, just opened up a bit more.

Definitely changed.  I started out dressing like a hooker and now I dress like a woman.  I have to spend most of my life in male mode so mostly I dress under every day but I do wear some women's items on the outside occasionally.  Jeans, t-shirts mostly and I have some women's hiking boots that I wear everyday.  They don't look very feminine but it makes me happy to have them on none the less.

In 1994 when I first came out , I wore suits , yes to nearly everything . Today, I wear slacks , scarves , flats , jeans . I mix , I match, I really allow myself to be a lot more casual as opposed to the somewhat "Old Lady " I was accused of years ago. ellen

Yes. I was notorious for not being interested in fashion before coming out. Now people seem to be tired of my obsession with beauty.

I am usually in mixture of men's and women's, although most of my clothes are women's. For some formal events, I sometimes have to wear men's formal dress, which I do not like but some of my colleagues really praise. Even with men's formal dress, I sometimes wear 2-3 inch heel ankle boots for women. Some people notice it, but who cares?

My fashion sense has been gradually developed after coming out, but still far less than most of ordinary women here. Women still give me advice on my fashion, and I still copy some noticeable fashion items that other ladies wear.

In this winter, I always wear very skinny jeans, although this makes my legs a little bit colder.

I've always found womenswear looks far more fun than men's. To some degree that stems from having to wear clothes my mom chose for me as a kid. As soon as I was buying my own clothes my look took a distinctly feminine slant, even though I was shopping in the men's department: tight knit v-necks, skin-tight bell bottomed jeans (don't judge!). That with my below-shoulders hair and the walk over to the lady's side of the isle wasn't a long one for me. Actually, my fashion sense hasn't really ever changed too vastly: nothing too girly or bright, jeans more often than not, slender looks. I do try to wear high heels, pencil skirts and scarves whenever possible, though.
