Wessman, RainbowVision projects sent back to their drawing boards

And RainbowVision, which would be the valley's only gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender retirement community, needs to be broken into smaller buildings to prevent it from being "too massive," some members said.

"It's too much building on too little a site," said member Don Wexler about Wessman's proposed Baristo Lofts.

Both the Baristo Lofts and RainbowVision have been before the committee before. Two weeks ago, the group provided a host of suggestions to RainbowVision's developers. But on Monday, member Michael King said he didn't see those suggestions represented in the new drawings.
