The Screen Actors Guild nominations for 2012 were announced Wednesday, and Glenn Close and Janet McTeer are both nominated for their gender bending roles in Albert Nobbs, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The SAG awards, along with the Golden Globes, are often a strong indicator of who will be nominated for the brass ring of awards' seasons, the Oscar.

Close, who also produced Albert Nobbs, is nominated for Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Leading Role for portraying a 19th century woman in Britain who lives as a man and works as a butler to survive. If that weren't enough, Close also nabbed a nomination in the television category for her role as the cutthroat attorney Patty Hewes on Damages.
