It depends entirely on the individual and how they see themselves in regards to their facial features. To some, other features are more important and to others their facial features are the most important.

It all varies by person to person.

For me, my vocal features were the most important. Followed by hair and then facial. So for me, it wasn't too terribly high on the list of importance but it was there...since it was number 3.

With regard to passing, facial features that are at least androgynous are necessary but not sufficient.  That is, when your face is sufficiently feminine or androgynous, people will look (whether consciously or subconsciously) to other cues, like facial hair, head hair, shoulder width, breasts, hip width, hand size and shape, foot size, and gender presentation and expression.

This is why, for many with masculinized facial features but otherwise acceptably female presentation and body metrics find that FFS is able to turn the tide of passing around.

Important to me too.  It the the first thing people look at when they meet you.  I have always dreamed of having that "arresting" type of beauty that makes heads turn! ;D Wow would i love that...........however (falls back to Earth)...just passing and look good and feminine would be a triumph enough for me.

Just want the facial hair gone.  Only people online have ever told me I need FFS. Real life people say nothing. Just hi and "she" and "her"

Been weeks (I think) since I have been clocked. Probably because of the very plain way I present myself. Because I'm boring,  I like to be boring. It's a challenge.

Few people have the balls to actually say that to someone's face in real life. Like me.

Well, I had FFS done after I was full time and gendered female 100% of the time. So, like, really desperately important to me. My face was a huge piece of my dysphoria, and I still have bad days where I see a boy staring back in the mirror, though it's a hell of a lot better now.

I also think it's second only to voice in terms of actually being seem as your correct gender. Doesn't matter what your body looks like if your face doesn't say female. With androgynous or very slightly masculine features you can slide past with proper makeup, clothing, body-type, mannerisms, etc. But that's about the limit - and you'll still probably get clocked by people who are around trans women or convincing crossdressers regularly.

Similarly with feminine enough features, it becomes entirely irrelevant whether you have face-paint or feminine-style clothing or whatever.

luckily with the national obesity epidemic and a general lack of concern about appearance by so many GGs actual facial features aren't all that important for passability but it certainly is nice to look in the mirror and go WOW!
