4 month post-op, 3x/d dilating, sex drive = zero...

I was just wondering if sticking acrylic sticks up my coochie 3x a day makes me feel so OFF, of the idea of sex.
Right now it just feel like some silly hole that needs to be serviced - and how blimming romantic that can be now.

Is this normal - for most of us?
The good thing is that it keeps it (my Y) from being unduly ravished, not so good for healing, or do I have this all front to back?

Considering you are only a couple of months post-op from major surgery, I 'm not surprised that your libido has taken a dive. If there is any discomfort dilating, that would put you off for sure.
Remember, you are not a bloke any more, HRT has given you a volume control, in place of the on-off switch.
I am filing all this sort of stuff for future reference, as I have an initial consultation with a surgeon this month.

If you're looking at it from a guy's perspective then a woman inserting anything is instantly sexy - put "object insertion" into Google and you'll get 3 million hits.  Dilating is like brushing your teeth, it's just a task that has to be done.
Pre-existing mental attitude is a very important factor for women and all that stuff about romance and music and candlelight isn't just nothing.
You may also have unnaturally low testosterone levels now; some post-ops settle at normal female levels, some are very low and may need a T patch or gel to adjust it, as is given to cis women with low libido.
Like cis-women, the clitoris is far more important than the vagina.  It is not uncommon for MTF clitoris to take 9 months to regain feeling, but one day you'll be wiping yourself after a pee and notice a pleasant tingle.

I wouldn't worry about it at this stage.  A real lot of cutting went on down there so give it time.

It's really as you say, like brushing teeth 3x/day 'down stairs' and only my sense of due diligence make me comply...

As for some tingle... well I know that, but acrylic is just that - acrylic. No guys so far has in any way raised any tinkle there as yet.

Most my age come unfortunately with a paunch, a drinking problem (Brandy & Coke), and going fishing over the week-end with lots more B & C.

It seems the SA way of life for the 'manne' [van die Royal Hotel...] and I'm NOT having any of it.
So being low on T, or what ever, has some small advantages after all is said and done.

oh forsure with all the discomfort and all that going on it completely makes sense that you wouldnt be interested in penetration.  Once we`re dilating less, and all the discomfort subsides we will LOVE sex. I have masturbated and have had very strong orgasms. Just no desire yet to have sex. Dont worry! we`ll get there! Were still new and getting adjusted to our new bodies!

At the moment you see your vagina as a scarred & healing, over time that will change, but when you're ready and there's no "oh it should be ready now" about it.

It took me about 6 months before I even thought of my vagina as a vagina and not a former pennis thats now a man-made vagina.
It will come, when it does you'll know when it does because it'll almost shock you.

I now tried to use Estropause/N* which has 16 tabs E only and 12 tabs with E+N.

N* stands for: Norethisterone, obviously not micronised Progesterone.

Norethisterone is giving me some issues, edginess and depression, so I think it's not quite for me?

I have used micronised Progesterone cream and it also seems to cause similar issues but less so, I guess it is a lot less potent.

So, the beat goes on... i.e. the search for the best HRT post-op past 4 month. (putting some life back into this girl :-)

Though one session of dilating takes the sexiness right out of me – it does not hurt, but hey... it's just cold plastic up my poor clam, 3x a day! Eish.
