Kia Ora,

::) Prior to transitioning I had never dressed up for fun in female attire, you know like at parties [well apart from my pre-teen years when my sister and I used to play dress ups]...

::) However in later years-teens early twenties- I was often asked to dress up for fun,[but I never did] and was told by female friends more than once, that I'd make a convincing female, especially the time I had long dread locks,...At one time a girl friend was messing around and put them into a bun on top of my head and kept saying "Wow you'd make an attractive female !"... But I guess that was the whole reason why I didn't do it, I didn't want others to get the wrong impression...Weird that... ;)

::) Ah the things we do and don't do[miss out on]... :D

::) On the island where I live, once a year they hold the "Hooker's ball !" where boys will be girls and girls will be boys, the idea is for the males to dress slutty and the females to dress in suits etc,  people travel over from the main land to participate, however I've never been and nor do I have any interest in such a thing...[But I'm sure some who participate are more than just 'straight' cis-males, and find dressing up a form of relief and release]...

::) Well prior to transitioning were/are you a gender bender at Halloween or other fancy dress parties ?

::) BTW Some guys[F2Ms] do/did fancy dress too right ?

Never did.  Thought about it though; not for fun, more to feel how it made me felt and use the party or event as a cover story.

I've been one to jump at the chance when it wouldn't be questionable (halloween, etc) quite often.

I had this problem, It always turned out too well, then I was terrified, damn stupidity of youth, too think of what could have been. If people misgender you, before you understand what you are, were they right or wrong,

I was misgendered a lot as a child it makes me cry (how funny in today perspective  ::) ) as teen I just don't care and trying to avoid femmine clothes and be little untidy, when I was teen my mother buy me girly clothes, not skirts or other things but girl pants or girly tshirt, I don't think she want to make a girl from me, just a cute boy (or maybe she have some notion, hart to say) and I would like it if other wasn't so "what do you wear", "Are you gay?"
So before I accepted myself as CD I strictly avoid any female things in fear of what other will say

I know people who did it but I was never one of them. I did not want people thinking I was a closet TV. ::) Now look at me..... long hair, breasts budding, living as female, etc.

I do not view it as a lost opportunity. I was not ready then, but I am now.

I view it as I ->-bleeped-<-ed up, but when you try to run from yourself, you find out it's a circle track.
I was ready then I got scared and ran the wrong way.
