Great news. I just had my hair transplant done a couple of days ago. The shots to numb everything up were a little painful, but other than that... not bad, no pain. i loved the doc. And before he would agree to a female hairline he wanted to know why since it is basically a permanent solution and wanted to do what was right for me. To my relief he followed that statement with the "the only reason you might want that is if you were a transexual or something". Obviously i said yes I am TG (MTF) and felt much more at ease after that. He said he's does men, women and TG, so its not a problem he just needs to know so he can make it look as natural as possible for your race, sex, ethnicity etc. I felt so relieve after that.
Any way did about 2,200 grafts for my widows peak and re-establishing a more natural female hairline. I won't know for another 4-6 months exactly how it looks and how many of the hairs survive, but right now the hairline looks great!!! He was very professional and all of the nurses and technicians were great. One nurse even said she had a friend that was TG, and asked if I had chosen a name yet. They were discrete and obvsiously TG friendly. And so far I am very happy. I can't wait until the redness goes away and the hair starts growing back. The hair should be growing back at about the same time as I'm not with the laser on my face and legs (summer time), so i am very anxious to fast forward to then. Anyway just wanted to share the good news.
