Ok so I have seen these pictures from worried girls here and started to feel like ->-bleeped-<- :(, I mean everybody got these perfect faces for transition. And here I am with this neanderthal skull=/.

So now I will show you all one of the worst pics ever of me. It was taken for my airport ID, god I hate it!

Anyway here it is

How in the he** is this going to turn out in the end? I have a bad feeling that my testosterone factory has destroyed my future.

I know what needs to be done I think. Lets hear the judgment from you girls ;).

1 : Jaw and chin needs to be shaved

2 : Nose need to be fixed and also the damn scar

3 : Brow bossing needs to go

4 : Forehead is big, what can you do?

5 : Started laser a few months ago and there is alot less of a shadow now.

The photo is one year old. Short hair and all! And of course, no HRT. Just a pure caveman.

I will meet Dr Bart van de Ven in May 2012, lets see what he says.

Happy New Year to you all.

Your not alone.

I'm losing my hair, I have a monster jaw, I have a cranial ridge that sticks out horribly along with a large brow ridge...

I look like a Klingon.

I am wary of proclaiming "judgment" as you say, as I hate the possibility of hurting someone's feelings, but I like to think that a little honesty is a nicer thing to extend, even if its positive aspects are hard to see at first...

With that disclaimer said, here goes... based on that photo alone:

You said you wanted to do your jaw and chin. FFS for the chin might be necessary (possibly "just" helpful), but I'm not sure if the jaw is something that will end up being a problem, once HRT has reduced the masseter muscle.

The nose is a bit unclear. It doesn't look like it needs (or could use) fixing from this angle, however a profile would be helpful in seeing if it needs to be done or not. I'm not sure where scar you're talking about is.

Brow bossing is hard to call with a frontal shot. It looks like it would be a good candidate for FFS though, from what I can see. Or perhaps the main contributor is a concave nose bridge... which would make brow bossing seem like more than it is in a frontal shot.

Forehead could be fixed with a scalp advance... and if you think you are missing hair, transplants might be nice. I don't believe these fall under the necessary category, however, as I know women (my mom in particular) with foreheads as big as or bigger than yours. Additionally, a good hairstyle will conceal the perceived flaws in that area as well. :)

You may or may not want cheek implants to help round the face out a bit... but this is more of a potential want, as opposed to a need.

And that's about it... I wasn't holding back or trying to be nice. But just the same, I wasn't trying to be unnecessarily mean; just my undistilled thoughts. Many things you might want to do for FFS fall under the category of a "want" as opposed to a "need" - where a "need" is something that absolutely must be done to pass, and where a "want" would be anywhere from merely enhancing your beauty, to improving your pass rate (though to a lesser degree relative to the "needs").

A lot of things besides FFS provide really solid contributions to passability. That is, hairstyle, makeup, clothing, accessories/jewellery, facial expression, mannerisms, voice, vocal mannerisms, frame, height, and weight. I'd like to ask how you are doing in regards to these things! The most important of them is your voice, but aside from the last three, they are all very important things to be adept at. And, of course, HRT helps as well...

I can't say for sure which surgieries will or won't be necessary to your passability... It's possible that the above could do the trick by themselves. I would address them before worrying about FFS, else you'll end up having to do a lot of reconsiderations...

Hope that was at least a little helpful. I'd really want to see something other than your worst photo though!

Yeah it sucks to be less fortunate.

But at least we are two about it on this site then.

The only nice thing that I have noticed is that I am loosing height 2 Inches to be exact, why? I do not know. I have always hated to be tall.

I am soon to start HRT. But some days I feel like it is better to live this bad life as a guy instead and not complicate everything. I am very afraid to be all alone without work, friends, family and still look like a bad TV.

Thank you for the honest reply Kelly :), that is what I want.

My height is not to my benefit unfotunately (185cm) sorry but I am not that good at inches =/. I have been taller though, a few years ago I was about 5cm taller. Most of the women in our family is 180cm tall or more.

My mannerism would be the minor problem I guess, at least if I should trust my friend and wife.  But when I am around other people I play the male role and thats where I need to overcome a few obstacles I think. There is a big step for me to not play that role in front of people I do not know so well.

And my voice, its not the best. I am tall and not the thinnest person on this earth :P. But its mostly muscles (also a family thing) the proportions is ok I think. The voice training and surgery (in worst case) is paid for by our healthcare system. So I hope that it would turn out ok even if I fail at the training. I am using my hands alot when I talk and that seems to be wrong to do as a guy? because I have got those strange looks from people by doing that.

My hairstyle at the moment is kind of hard to explain because honestly right now I am just trying to get it long :D.

I will cut it to more of a "style" later as soon as it is a little longer. Now it is reaching my shoulders and its pretty shiny and looks like any girls would. I am using alot of hairproducts to reduce wear and tear.

The thing about my nose is that I was hit by a metal bar in the face a few years ago, that left a long scar on top of the nose ridge which is not so nice to look at. It is not seen that much in pictures but when the sun shines it can be seen clearly. It also cut a nerve which makes a wrinkle to appear when I do certain facial expressions. Fortunately it can be corrected if I should trust my doctor.

Otherwise it looks better than the noses that most females on my mothers side have, i have a slightly curved noseridge. But I have a male face and I do not want a bad nose that draws the attention to all my other flaws if you understand what I mean, it may not need a big change but a minor overhaul to look less harsh.

My hairline is pretty ok. I dont have a higher one than for example my mother or cousins. But I might consider to do a transplant later even if that has a verly low priority right now.

I will try to get a sideshot. But right now I dont have a decent camera =/.

If Ian/Jan Hamilton could do it, then anyone can.

:). I saw the documentary about her, it was one of the things that made me think that maybe even I can live like I should have done.

But she seems to have had a pretty small face even as a man.

Ofcourse you can be who you want to be. :)  If you got the money, then you can basically change anything these days, surgically. Well except for certain things like the actual skullbase and spine and so, ofcourse, but other than that..
However, if becoming passable enough, those unchangeable features remains rarely any problem, regardless of size.

So don't give up on your dream. :)

The money is there.

But I guess that it is best to wait until a few years on HRT has passed? Is it unwise to take care of the brow bossing after say 1 year? should I wait longer?

The chin is the other thing that I have a hard time to accept, the sooner I can get it fixed the better.

Well, many people on here recommend doing hormones first, and whait for some time untill they have done their work, as hormones alone can have a very big impact on the face.

However, if you are truly sure about yourself, then I really see no reason for why you could not do FFS firstly before anything else.
If anything, it would rather make the transitioning process considerably easier if done first, in my opinion.

Not too sure about the Adam's Apple, though, if you are thinking of having that done aswell, as some surgerons have claimed that it might grow back if still having Testicles. However, it is fully possible that this claim is pure quack, so you does bet to ask an experienced  FFS-professional on this one.

I just posted up a horrible picture myself, friend.  Nothing is impossible.  That face can be made different but I'm going to tell you that its going to be a combination of things:

1. Time
2. Patience
3. FFS - but the right kind of FFS and find the right surgeon
4. Makeup
5. Hairline- the forehead and the hairline can be changed over time, it takes a lot of commitment, but there are hair transplants, and there is a procedure that gives you a woman's hairline...

You have beautiful blue eyes and that is always something desirable in anyone, no matter who they are.

Take a look at my thread where I show you this train wreck of testosterone ("a brave picture") and then see that we are all in the same boat now.

My adams apple is not that visible on me, however in certain poses it can be seen. I might need to fix that later on.

The testicles will have to go, I plan to do this maybe during the next year. But first they need to do their job one more time (we want one more child).

I think 1 year will pass from the time that I start my HRT treatment until I can go thrugh FFS. I only have time to leave work etc during the winter,

Sysm29 thanks for the comments :).

I saw your pic. I think that you have a much better face than me to be honest :P.

I cant se a train wreck in that thread ;).

I'm jealous of your lovely eyebrows!  Get rid of the facial hair, smile, and get some bangs and I think you will see a big change.  I've seen before pics on this site of some really macho looking guys, and they turned out gorgeous girls, so miracles do happen, not that you need a miracle.

:).

And just for fun.

This is how my hair looks like now (bad light I know)

Again sorry for the bad quality photo.

I move to have someone create an official thread called "What do I need to look more female?" or something like that... would be nice to have all feedback and responses in one place for different people

Honestly, I'm not sure there's really even anything wrong with your face. I have a super hero chin, and a nose the size of a boat. They're absolutely embarrassing, even in boy mode. To top it off, I'm almost identical in height.

Also, how is it you're losing 2 inches in height??

I think your face works very well. I doubt you need much ffs to pass. Some of us aren't lucky enough to even slightly pass without ffs. :(

I'm quite certain I'm going to do that virtual ffs, just to see where I really stand.

There are things that give me away in real life, certain angles and such.. After a few years I have learned how to hide those angles in a photo :P. Also its about light, in the evening and night with dim light I am able to "fool" one or another. But in daytime? no definitly not.

The height is a pain isnt it? I have always hated to be tall =/. How I lost height I dont know, I was surprised when they measured me about 3 months  ago and told me that I need to change the info in my ID because I am shorter then what it says  :o. Ok that with age you become shorter but this fast? I am not having a bad posture either so its not that.

Thanks for your comments, different minds see different things. And as I am sure you know we are all our own worst critics. I am happy if I become at least androgyne, of course I would love to look 100% female but I am trying to keep a realistic mindset.

Yeah I am also doing the virtual ffs, I have sent my pictures and everything. When I get the result I would be glad to post them if someone is interested to see how it works :).
