"We need to raise the profile of LGBTI health inequalities both within the community and amongst healthcare professionals and preventative health agencies."— Ms Comfort

THE health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersex (LGBTI) Australians requires more research and awareness, according to  the WA Centre for Health Promotion Research (WACHPR).

In 'Primary health care and equity: the case of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex Australians', published in the Australian Journal of Primary Health, Jude Comfort from the Curtin University's WACHPR calls for increased awareness of health inequities in the LGBTI community.
