I'm happy for her/him, and no I don't think s/he owes anybody an apology, certainly not myself...Well that my humble opinion...

BTW I still think it was a funny ad and cleverly done... And I like the new term "Dr->-bleeped-<-hobia"! That also made me laugh -does it mean one has a fear of 'dragging' ?

LOL, just as I thought.    But I still stand with my comment in the other thread about the ad, I don't think the ad works, because there is NO WAY, NO HOW, a GAY man, dressing in drag or w/e, envy a girl having periods.  It just doesn't compute!  The rest up to that point works fine, so IMO it's a fail. But I'm probably overthinking the whole thing.

I am now at liberty to comment on the recent controversy surrounding my Libra advertisement.

Throughout the production process, Libra were sensitive, professional, and accepting of my needs as a drag queen and as a gay man. I never felt for one moment that I would be depicted as a trans woman, nor do I believe that I have been.

The drag queen who featured in a recently-pulled "transphobic" tampon advert has hit back at critics.

Sandee Crack, a stage name, said the transgender people who had complained were clearly "dr->-bleeped-<-hobic", pointing out that he "never considered" himself trans, "and never will do".

I think what Crack is missing is the people viewing the ad do not know Crack is portraying a drag queen, they think he is portraying a trans woman.  Most people don't know the difference.  They think drag performers and trans women are the same.

How does one know what Crack is supposed to be in the ad, though?

As far as I could see, the ad do not start with a line saying; "OBS: The following commercial contains a Bio-woman and a DQ".

The character in the ad could just aswell be supposed to be a Transsexual. Or a ->-bleeped-<-. Or a ->-bleeped-<-. Or a Crossdresser. Or whatever.

I should be honest and say that I was not sure about what the character was supposed to be when I watched it, as many transsexuals do indeed look like Drag Queens while many Drag Queens indeed look like transsexuals, so it is hardly about "Submitting" to any "Stereotype" or however a transpoliticaly correct person would word it.
