I've made $153 directly and indirectly by using Craigslist.  That's not bad but considering that the money I make from there is going to go to top surgery and I want it with Dr. Garramone WITH his Mansculpture bringing the total to about 10 grand and considering the fact that by the time I will get it I'm sure the prices will be raised that's another factor to consider!

I KNOW that Craigslist sales won't be enough but the more the better as due to my situation this is the only way to earn a little money.  I have no job because I'm trying to focus on school and I don't want to deal with the Ebay fees and hassles.  I do save any unexpected money I recieve so that helps but what I have total for the surgery so far is under half a grand.

I have a bunch of things in my room that I've put to sell there and I'm to the point where I'm thinking "make me an offer" because I really need to clear some space and make cash but even when people do ask for a lower price and I accept it they just flake out OMG!  It just gets me so mad! I just think to myself "These boobs aren't going to remove themselves."

What's worse is that I can't tell what exactly is the problem.  I don't know if my prices are too high (which I'm sure they aren't because I've made several price drops and I still don't get offers), if people WANT them but it's way to far out of their area, or if no one just plain wants them!

Seriously the Craigslisters in my area need to start buying my stuff lol.

Ok rant over and I feel slightly better.  I guess I am going to search in my room to find more stuff to put on there even though I searched hundreds of times....curse you my large boobs!  >:(

Don't loose hope there.

Good things take time. But waiting is always the worst.

That is so true but I wonder how long I have to wait.

What are you trying to sell? Household items?

I wish but I don't have any of those.  I'm a college student so mostly trying to sell some of my toys and video games and some electronics etc. I've taken a demographic from my previous sales and from what I've seen in my sales I attract mothers who want a gift for their son for their birthday.....must not be a lot of birthdays in January.   :(

Oh I understand now, have you tried Ebay?

I would but having to deal with shipping costs, seller fees, auction fees and needing a paypal account that is just too much hassle for me.

There are a LOT of flakes on Craigslist.

Very "cheap" people, who aren't happy unless you give them the item, and $10 for their time.

The best luck I've had is by selling something for about 1/3rd of what it goes for new (assuming it's in "like new" condition), letting the voicemail take all messages, then screening the cheapos/deadbeats out and selling to the first one who says, "I have the money in hand, will pick it up tonight".

EBay is better, but like you said, a hassle (and I have everything already set up, too! LOL)  Maybe there is a local "I'll sell your stuff on EBay!" business which can help you out?
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I wish there was something local like that here.  There are so many flakes on Craigslist it would put Tony the Tiger to shame.  Lately when people do ask if I would take lower and I say yes they just never reply again like wtf whats the point of that?  I usually reply within 30 seconds or less so it's not like I take a long time to get back to them

Most people who would buy those items probably had their fill with Christmas. Maybe try again in a few months.

This Christmas was the best time and I wish it didn't end.  I made the most sales then.

I've sold quite a few things on Craigslist, but I've found it can take time with some items. To sell something it takes 2 things: an interested buyer and the right price. Some items have a steady flow of buyers looking for it, but the flow rate is slow. I've had things up for 2 months before they sold. But posting's free, so what the heck? Always price accord to what people seem to be paying, not according to what you think it's worth (eBay's "completed" search can give a very good idea of an item's value). That's the biggest difficulty people seem to  have. Everything of worth has a market value, though. If you hit it and wait, it will sell.

I would think I'm having the right prices but you're right.  It is free.  Somethings I've been posting since July and I guess I'll continue to do so.  Hopefully all my stuff should be sold in 10 years LOL.
