I'm fairly certain they already know, but I just clicked send on an email to my parents. I kept it short to avoid overloading them with information, but I'm still pretty sure that they'll react poorly.
Maybe I'm worrying about nothing, maybe not.
I hope they check their inbox tomorrow morning.

I'm not sure why I'm posting this, maybe I just want someone to tell me that everything will be fine. Maybe I just need to get it off my chest.
How do parents usually react to this? Mine have never had to deal with anything like this, except when I was like, 13 and I thought I was a lesbian.

It will be ok. Chances are they're not going to react badly. I was petrifed of coming out but in the end noone cared.
But if they do react badly, at least you don't have to live with the secret anymore.
I really hope things go well for you.

I like the idea of not having to live with secrets anymore. Or having to lie to them constantly. That was the worst part for me.

I hear you. It was the same for me.
Remember, it only gets better.

A big step - well done!  Just remember, all you can do is give them the truth - what they choose to do with it is not in your control.  Even if they initially struggle with it, people just need time to process these things.  Let us know how it goes and best of luck!

Hopefully they won't mind but if not then at least it's extra weight off your chest.  I hope all goes well with you and them.  Emailing them is good so they can take longer to process it in their minds.
