Elle:
First off, congratulations!
Second, don't be so hard on yourself. You've just been through major surgery. You've been hit by a truck and had to be shipped for 30 hours, probably feeling like you were in storage. Been there, done that.
Second, 6 inches is plenty for any man. If you find someone longer than that, you'd probably be able to throw a saddle on him!

Seriously, though, if you do, then what other women do is change their position so that it is satisfying for both party's.
Also, you are probably swollen as a result of the surgery. This swelling will affect depth. That is a given and quite normal. The amount that you have lost is quite acceptable for this type of surgery.
Keep up with your dilation schedule as was given you by your surgeon. Most surgeons recommend at least 3 times a day for the first 2-3 months.
Also when you dilate, just use gentle, but but firm pressure on the dilator. Not too hard, you don't want to rip anything. Basically, once you feel the dilator at the top of your vagina, press until you can feel some resistance.
As you heal, the swelling will go down, and you may gain some more depth. Or you might not. As long as you maintain your regimen, you should be fine with wherever you end up. Also don't worry too much about width right now. You can work with the larger dilators when you feel better. Usually after you have dilated with your first one for a little while.
