Hi, I'm Lea and I'm a newly transitioning teen.
I'm  super social.
I want to be a makeup artist, I have been working super hard towards that goal by starting an apprenticeship and doing makeup for community theater and acting troupes, and I'm feeling pretty successful in that department.
Then comes being transgender. I started transitioning (without any hrt or treatment) last year, in the beginning of summer.  I spent my whole summer working on my look from being an androgynous boy to a boy who looks mostly like a young girl.
It used to be awkward for me discussing all this because I never thought much of the transgender world until I realized I was apart of it.  Growing up I never thought of my self consciously as one of the boys, I always was befriending girls and doing girlish hobbies, avoiding any physical male contact.  Now I'm knowing where I'm trying to go and hope I can meet some awesome people on here for advice and all that because honestly, I don't know where to start! I want to further my transition into HRT, and my mother is somewhat understanding (She's lesbian) but doesn't know much of any of this and nor do I..

So hello all! :)

Hi Lea,

Welcome to Susan's. We are all family here, so you are quite safe. You can discuss or ask just about anything (within the ToS) without being shouted at.
You have a great, winning attitude and strong focus on where you are going. These attributes will help you immensely in your journey.
Surround yourself with good, strong, positive, nurturing people; and you too will experience the unimaginable that is there for everyone.

Looking forward to hearing more from you in time to come. Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
