I am jumping the gun by a few hours, but I am pretty excited. On January 20th I went out as Maia for the first time in Florida. Over the next few days (to my surprise, believe me) I found that I passed well enough that I never needed to go back to being him, so I didn't. I have now completed my year of the Real Life Experience and have completed all my requirements for my upcoming surgery. A couple hours ago my psychologist sent my health insurance case representative a letter certifying that I have successfully completed my RLE. Hopefully CIGNA will now approve my surgery and everything will come together. There isn't anything left for me to do except wait for the big day!
