I don't know why, but I find painting my nails to be a relaxing experience. Choosing the colour, painting them, and then the dry period. I use it as a time to be truly me. I tend to keep my toes in colours, but my fingers I only do when I won't be seeing people I know for a few days. I leave them clear. I painted this weekend, and went for a slightly patriotic theme. The toesies are red, and the fingers are blue. I really like this combo. I posted a picture. I'm not the best painter yet, but I'm working on getting better lighting in my apartment so I can see it better, especially the toes. Here's a photo of it.
