I am 5'10" and weigh 140 lbs. My waist is 28½" and I have double A breasts. I would say that my body looks fairly womanly for being born a male. I have stayed away from intense exercise for the last two years since starting HRT so that I could loose muscle mass. I have walked and watched my diet to loose 20 lbs of extra weight that I was carrying. So now I have this average looking female body with a nearly flat stomach.

If I started to exercise intensly what would my body become? Would I keep my waist size? Would my arms stay thin? I want to have a rocking body! Is that possible for a MTF?

This fall I plan on going to both the Navy Birthday Ball and Marine Corps Birthday Ball and I want to look amazing in a strech taffeta floor length gown. I'm so vain!

Judging from your picture if that indeed is you, I would say you needn't worry about bulking up with big muscles. I have been on M2F HRT for over ten years and it's been my observation of all the Trans folks I've known that a good light daily exercise program at the local fitness center is an excellent plan to avoid excess tummy fat and getting a pear-like shape over time. I go five days a week in the morning and get in about forty minutes cardio and use the cable weight equipment with light weights and a lot of reps. Then I do a few hundred crunches because I like the definition as opposed to flab. This is for toning and to get the sludge moving through your body, it will definitely in no way add any bulk to your body. It is also important because those who become sedentary couch potatoes on HRT are likely candidates for thrombosis. I found that I had great looking legs, but when I gave up exercising I began to get cellulite on the backs of my thighs, not pretty! I go home to shower being an androgynous MtF type because the male shower room would entail something of an instant riot, and from what I've seen there leads me to believe that I should file a suit for visual assault.

Thanks Shantel,

Yes it is indeed me in the picture. My nephew and I are going to split the cost of the Insanity program advertised on TV. I know what can be done with just calistenics from my time in the Marine Corps. I think almost any exercise program will do wonders if it is followed faithfully. I just don't whant to gain bulck and want tone and definition.

Just keep the weights light and do lots of reps and you'll get great tone and definition. You'll do just fine sweetie, Semper Fi!
