Great news Jacob. As a parent who acquired a son the same way ( who needs a normal family?
) I think your mother is a wonderful woman. Please let her know I said so.
Watching one of your children struggling with something they can't explain is an awful situation, and the relief when the cause is found is immense. How any parent could not be supportive is beyond me. I say forget what relatives, friends, Church or community think, family should stand by each other whatever happens.
This is another thing that can go in the "what made you happy" thread.
