Gretchen

Dizzy, by Tommy Roe Last week of March 69 Belly button B-Day
I would have preferred the week before, Everyday people by sly stone.
I could also say Rhianna's We found love Week of Dec. 3 2011 T-Birth
Then there is Teenage Dream, Katy Perry week of Sept. 18 2010 Sobriety

OK, I cringed at "The lion sleeps tonight" but now you made me google the date I quit drinking (4Mar86), it was "Kyrie" by Mister Mister. If anyone needs me I'll be curled up in the fetal position in the shower, sobbing uncontrolably! Hugs, Devlyn

Back in 86 I was just finding out how much I really liked drugs and alcohol and as far as sobbing in the shower goes, count me in.

Back in 86 I planted a lima bean in a dixie cup and watched that mofo grow leaves. Wild times.

The number one song in the USA when I was born was Sixteen Tons, by Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Not coincidently, that's exactly how much weight the doctor told me to lose.  ::)

When I was born, it was a bit oldfashioned in Holland, they didn't have a list, not till '65.
But the song who was heard very much on the radio was je ne regrette rien from the French singer Edith Piaf.
Beatifull song, translated, I don't have any regrets.....it suits me.

Thank you for reminding me of her

I have an album of her with that and I just love it too bits.

Her voice was so different and so wonderful.

As was she.

, apparently.

One day at a time, sweet Jesus

I'm only human, I'm just a woman
Help me believe in what I could be and all that I am
Show me the stairway
I have to climb
Lord for my sake
Teach me to take
One day at a time

One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you
Just give me the strength to do every day what I have to do
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
Tomorrow may never be mine
Lord help me today
Show me the way
One day at a time

Do you remember
When you walked among men
Jesus, you know if you're looking below
It's worse now than then
Cheatin' and stealin', violence and crime
So for my sake
Teach me to take
One day at a time

One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you
Just give me the strength to do every day what I have to do
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
Tomorrow may never be mine
Lord help me today
Show me the way
One day at a time
