C Programmers

Are they still hiring C programmers?   I hope so as I really like C.   I keep reading that in the age of Python and Java C is moribund, however, I noticed when installing Ruby on my computer that Ruby uses a lot of C header files.

I quite like OO languages, but I am not so keen on the GUI side of Python/Java/C++/Python etc because it is so fussy and footery.
