Having read a previous post by Julian entitled "Binary presentation: choosing a gender," it has elicited some thoughts I have wrestled with in my own life about what to wear now that my body has been modified. The thoughts about how we would look in various situations wearing the type of attire the occasion calls for can be daunting at best. Julian is concerned about going swimming at the beach in boy mode once the breasts are gone, just as I am. I will be staying at a nice resort soon and may wish to go swimming, I love to swim but haven't been swimming in years because I am sporting some C-cup boobs. Although I present sort of male with my buzz haircut, walk and talk fairly male so a woman's swim suit is just out of the question.
Then there is the business of having to dress up. I could gather together a woman's wardrobe, but I'm much more comfortable in male casual though I appear extremely androgynous to any onlooker. I hate men's suits! First of all they are bland, colorless and unimaginative, the style hasn't changed in 100 years. Why would anyone wear a tie around their neck and look like they're choking to death? I suppose that although Julian and I are genetic birth opposites, we do have a lot in common. As for me, I had not counted the cost entirely before I modified my appearance though I'm not sad about it, it has taken some getting used to under these kinds of circumstances that we all face in life.
