yes it works!

I had laser on my face only, I don't have money for body laser yet, but I have a epilator and it has worked really well for me too.

Epilator is definitely the way to go with body hair.
Waxing is great, but messy, awkward, time consuming and more of a "big session"

With an epilator, you can just have a spur-of-the-moment two minute touch up of areas you notice as required, so once you've got all the hair removed once, you can keep totally on top of the situation just with those little sessions.
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fix your plan, Take me as I am (Dreamtheatre - As I Am)
I started out with nothing..... and I still have most of it left.

I heard so many good things about epilators, apart from the pain.

But I've also heard that ingrown hair is more likely, especially with some hair types.

Is this true?

Yes Spacial, it is true. I have had plenty of ingrows.

Usually, taking a bath and rubbing your skin with a spounge after epilating helps a lot with it.

You know, bless you all!

But since my first absolutely DESPERATE very early transition epilating I'm pretty OFF that item. Sure am!

Note: I do use it in my FACE! these days - only. And of course also I get ingrown hair...

I pay R120-00 about US$ 17.00 for a leg wax and my girls are just great about it all. The pain session is actually sweetened by some girly-chat and for me just having to lay there – and they do it all. Great!

Just the thought of those early leg and fuffy epilating session... and UNDER THE ARM!! Oh no!

I do have a BROWN pretty advanced model - BUT it still PINCHES (making bruises), not on the legs though, only inside and up – on he juicy white meat... no more please for me.

But in any case thank you so much for sharing,
Axélle

I was eplilating this morning too! I am still a bit blotchy in places.  I started epilation following a gift of an epilator from my mum and dad for Christmas. I can now epilate my legs and arms with relative ease but under the legs near the groin is very VERY :icon_eek: painful.  I have not braved my chest as yet.  I will when i build up the courage.  For now I use the shaver attachment the epilator came with.

Carry on epilating girls. xxx

I hate the things! the only hair I get is on my face and I don't want to use it there!

Thank you Beverly. I'm pleased this isn't as serious as I had thought and when it does occur, is fairly easy to deal with.

If you have been waxing for a while, then retry the epilator. You may be surprised how much better it is.
Oh... have done - but naaaah, no like! Ouch!!!

I take a shower afterwards and scrub with exfoliating gloves, then moisturise with E45 (an unscented moisturiser).

Right now a just LOVE to leave all these 'complications' to my girl beautician :-)

Love to get SPOILED after the pain, and yet not doing any more PT, um.
