It would be shorter to list which major bands/artists I HAVEN'T seen yet.

The bucket list: AC/DC (yes, Bon Scott is still dead last I checked), Against Me! (obvious reasons), Go-Go's (once took a studio recording class with Charlotte), KISS (although I've been in the same room with all original members at one time or another), ZZ Top (drank at same bar with Billy Gibbons once).

Still hoping Led Zeppelin gets back together, but I've seen Plant/Page a few times and even had a backstage pass once.

I've been to 1000+ concerts over the last 30 years.  It's what I do best.

Yeah it is great to get paid for the best seats.  :)
It's a dream come true for me. Photography was always just a hobby. Got offered to work for a major live entertainment company a few years ago and the rest is history. Nothing like getting paid to take pictures of some of my favorite bands.

Against Me! was just here but I couldn't go, had no money. :(

I've seen A Day to Remember, Goo Goo Dolls,  Less Than Jake and a country band called Alabama when I was like 12 lol.

lol

But it HAS gotten a lot better in the last five/ten years, thankfully!

There's some good local metal bands getting around in this country these days, even the ones who aren't really my cup of tea usually put on a good show.

As for bigger shows I've seen... Well, the first was Presidents of the United States of America... lol But then as far as I can remember...

Smashing Pumpkins
Soilwork
Deicide
Children of Bodom
Nightwish
Mayhem
Immortal
Celtic Frost
Dark Tranquillity
In Flames
Amon Amarth
Stabbing Westward
Dark Funeral
Fear Factory

There's more, but that was the first cluster that popped into my head.

From 2000 to 2005: AC/DC in 2000, a benefit Death Metal fest for James Murphy in 2002. The headlining band (Deceased) cancelled at the last minute due to personal issues for one band member. Didn't find out about that until I got there. I was a bit bummed out about that. I did get to meet James Murphy and saw one really good band. I sat through 4 or 5 other bands that sucked. I left and missed the last 5 or 6 bands. Went to another (smaller) Death Metal fest at the same venue around a year later. Only one band out of the six sucked so it was much better. I saw Type O Negative a few months later in Ohio. Missed the opening band (Lacuna Coil) but we didn't care. Type O was really good. Saw Obituary and Napalm Death in 2005. It was absolutely amazing. The two opening bands were pretty good too.

I haven't been to any shows in proper venues since that time. I did organize a local fest of Noise/Experimental bands from various areas of the Midwest. I also played in it as well with my Noise project. I plan on doing another fest later this year. If we could draw more than 10 people (other than the bands), that would be nice.

Type O!   Loved them live.  Why did that bastard have to die so young?  OK, it was probably because he sniffed up half of Peru, but still...  The good news is that Peter left me with two basses that he won't be needing anymore.

Anyway, concert bucket list update-  I have tickets for the ZZ Top/Jeff Beck, Elton John, King Diamond and KISS shows.  I've seen Elton John before, but this time I'm up front.  I hear AC/DC is coming soon, and I might just have to go to Vegas for that one.
