Okay, so.. Hi. Um, I'm Hunter, I'm 19, going on 20... and what's brought me here is my own questioning, really.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been a bit confused with myself. I thought I was physically a boy for a while, purely based on the fact that I had a boyish voice (for a little kid) and all that. Through out school I'd have conflict on my gender, and kind of wanting to be a boy and such. I honestly didn't really know about transgendered, or what it meant, or any of that until late High School to be perfectly honest. When I figured it out, I contemplated getting surgery and such, but honestly.. I'm not really going to pass for a 20 year old man. I'm 4'10" and as feminine as they get. It was something that really kept me from branching out with the idea.

And even now I'm still conflicted, as I want to be a man, I like being called 'sir' versus 'ma'am' and all that. But I still enjoy the occasional dress and I like women's clothing. I'm just.. kind of afraid I'll make a mistake. I'm here to figure myself out, I guess... so yeah. Um...

We'll see where this all takes me.

Welcome Apollo. I think you have many of the same thoughts and feelings as, well, probably most everyone here has had at one point or another. I think you'll find lots of good information, and many great people here to help and assist you, just don't be shy with any questions or thoughts you may have. Take care, good luck, and glad to have you here.

Hi Hunter, it's nice to meet you. Sometimes it helps just telling someone else how you feel. This is a great place for that. I have to ask, do you like hunting? We've got topics for that and everything else. See you around, hugs, Devlyn

Hi Hunter,
Welcome to Susan's, from Australia. (Just across the 'creek', some call it the Pacific). You have indeed have come to the right place to get your questions answered.

Don't be too afraid to make mistakes. I'm over 40 and still make them. It's the only way we learn sometimes. (Whoops ... I think I've left myself open here ... Oh well )

As Jennifer said, there is plenty of information and experienced people here to help you along the way. So start asking away. Look forward to hearing more from you in time to come, in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Thanks for such a warm welcome, guys! I'm kind of lurking about for now, and trying to gain more confidence to start asking, but I appreciate such a welcome! I knew this place was a good place to come, it seemed much more active and open than some of the other forums I looked at.

Hey Hunter,

I have one friend who transitioned a few years ago at about your age, the only female to male I know. Just a few days ago someone posted a pic of her on Facebook (which was quickly removed), it was the first time I had seen a pic as the girl presented to the world she had this cute round face. As the male I met, there was a hint of that cuteness that deceived me some in androgynous clothes. Now I see the man, his shoulders and arms have bulked up, he is a bit taller than you, about 5'3". Have you seen some males that have a somewhat feminine face? It happens both ways. I am a slim 5'1" very male face, but when the make up is on it definitely changes me to feminine. Don't let your current appearance hold you back if you think you want to transition to your authentic male brain.

Be proud of your courage to share, ask away, I am sure there are amazing people here with experience, that can assist you on your journey.
