is it possible to go on low dose hormones or just something that will block dht permantely ? as far as i know baldness doesnt run in my family but id rather just take any future worry of it out of the equation alltogether .  my personal identity is i feel like a third gender but much more over to the feminine side ,  i want facial feminization surgery and if i could take hormones without it killing off my sex drive or loosing my male function ( i dont want sexual reassigment surgery and hey if im going to have it i might as well use it ) and i wouldnt want to develop breasts  , very small ones wouldnt bother me though

i wish you could select elements you want , like id love hips , soft female skin etc but not have to not have a flat chest as well and a very pretty female face

its a real pain being an adrogyne or third gendered instead of binary becuase everything you do say if i was to take hormones has a trade off , sacrificing some things i like for other things i want

i probably should have explained my identity more , ill add more to this later and im biologically " male "  and am attracted to men , generally i prefer to be the feminine on in the relationship too , feel dominated in the bedroom and protected when in their arms etc

You might want to look at threads in the hormone replacement therapy board and in the wiki section.

I recall some song lyrics ...

You can't always get what you want
And if you try sometime you find
You get what you need

As I remember it.. 'You just might find you get what you need' even that's got probability against it.

As Johnson said about life, we are 'condemned in hope's delusive mine'.

As far as killing DHT - you can use commercially available products for that. A possible plus for you in using these products is that there is a small chance that you'll get some breast development.

As far as taking a low dose of hormones and hoping not to get changes, or lose libido - very doubtful from my experience. I have experienced both effects. In fact, this weekend i had to go and buy some t-shirts to wear under my normal shirts to hide whats going on under there.

Hormones are no joke, and you should be very sure of what you want from them and be very sure of what your expectations are before you start on them. Having a chat with a therapist would be a great place to start that process, and is the best way to legally obtain hormones.
