So Ok. I was in the shower.  Just after "happy fun time" and I though.  You never see like erotic fiction for guys.  Could that be a good way to tell (80%+ accuracy)  if some one is really a girl?  Because I love naughty stories.  There is a lot of TG stuff, trade bodies and then....  But well it's all text.  The written word.

Most girls like romance novel.  And most men like naked pitures.

Visual porn used to do it for me - one look and my sex urge lit up like a boiler firing up.
After transition + estrogen + AA's my sex drive rapidly dropped to where it is now (post-op now) and my psycho-sexual response changed too.
I do still find visual porn very mildly stimulating but it's literally about 1% of what it was.
Watching porn with my ex wife, I used to want to fast-forward to the good bits and she used to complain because she wanted to watch (all the really crappy acting) as the story unfolds.
I think I'm pretty much in the place where most born women are - seeing it cold it's pretty much like watching a butcher cut meat.  If I'm in the mood anyway then yes it can be midly stimulating and give me a very slight tingle down below, but it's easily ignored and forgotten.

Erotic fiction didn't used to do much for me but now I do find it a lot more rewarding.  Sex is much more a frame of mind thing for women and reading means that you have to conjure up the images in your own mind so they will be more to your own taste.
I like it a lot more now and also like Romance and put a lot more value on cuddles and general intimacy.

Guys - always have liked dirty postcards, have got their visual centres hard-wired to their dicks  :D
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fix your plan, Take me as I am (Dreamtheatre - As I Am)
I started out with nothing..... and I still have most of it left.

I think it's going a little to far to say that liking erotic fiction is a good predictor of being TG but there's probably some relationship.  I think there are more male readers of erotic fiction than you might expect and a lot more writers of it.

Personally I've always preferred erotic fiction and find visual pornography only mildly intriguing to repulsive. The more explicit, the less I like it--pretty sure because it completely dehumanizes the people and simply turns them into sexual objects.  Good erotic fiction (though there is so much truly terrible erotic fiction out there) has characters with depth and motivations rather than just sexual puppets.

It also might be because more fantastic stories (like body swaps, transformations, etc.) can't really be convincingly done in visual media.  And when it's done badly it completely ruins the illusion.

Well I'm Pre HRT, but well I like to have pictures with my stories, but well Naked women don't really do it like a cute girl with nice cloths.  Not like slutty that kind of a turn off.
