How many transgender people are there?

I'm curious. I haven't really searched this but yeah. I know that it's supposed to be like 10% of the population is gay. But what about trans people? Because everyone seems to say that we are so rare lol But on Youtube and on here it feels like there are many of us!!!!

lol I know. That's why I said on these two sites. And the other sites I suppose that are for trans people! 30,000 seems so small!!!! Jeez

According to this article from 2002

The National Transgender Advocacy Coalition website claims that between 2 and 3 percent of the American population is transgender

 The old statistic used was 1:10,000 trans women and 1:30,000 trans men. These statistics are from the 90s at the lastest and is probably only accounting for people who had bottom surgery. I think the statistic of people who are trans* is about 1%.

Yay for being unique? lol I'm trying to see this in a positive light. Then again, I do see it as a goood thing too because other people won't have to deal with the hormones, the surgery and the issues that come along with transition

First you're going to have to define who is (and who is not) part of the definition of that word.

If I don't count my other personality's then I would be one, but if you count the others then I'm not sure how many. What really sucks is that we all have the same name. So there you go, there's at least one.
