I have a paid home vacation this next week so I am going to try starting the next topic from the poll. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,9221.0/viewResults.html

Weight, Proportion, vs Height - Body Shape

So what are some questions, suggestions, ideas, or comments that can be added in this section.

I was thinking a little about diets, exercises, building/minimizing muscle, maybe a height weight chart, maybe mention dimensions bust-waist-hips,

Maybe a little on body shapers such as breast binding, corsets, pads, and breast forms,

Maybe a tiny info on different plastic surgery proceedures and costs.

Well, my brain is a little fried from the weekend (nothing bad, I'm just not used to having a life, that's all  ;D) but off the top of my head I'm curious about is "creating" either a slightly more female shape or an androgynous shape given that I'm plus size. I know that helps to blur the lines between male and female a bit, but I'm not sure what else can help. Plus, if I go from a plus size to a smaller size, how can I keep blurring the lines?

Hey K!

I like Casey's idea.

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, (I'm fried too, but that's from a 16 hour day and counting...I remember when weekends were supposed to be your days off).

Sounds like you have your plate full just trying to fill in what you have already mentioned.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

I have gathered a bunch of data covering a wide range of stuff so far, from data on height weight of average male female. to ideal measurements and ratios. Basic body shapes and such. Also I started a list of how to change your body shape.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) there is no statistics or information for an ideal androgyne. So I figure one could figure that out from the information on male/female on what would be right for them.

I figure the main data is the measurements, since most people know the methods of change. I will either list some or link some referrences to physical changes, rather then restate the widely known stuff.

Instead of listing the preliminary data like I have in the past, I will wait till I have edited and given the data thumbs up before posting it here.

So there is no truth to the rumor (that I am just making up) that the ideal measurements for an androgyne are 38-24-36 with 18-inch biceps and 34-inch thighs who can bench press 450 pounds?

While I am curious to see what you come up, Ken(dra), the only measurements I really care about are the size of one's heart, the depth of their compassion and lengths they will go to help a friend.

Hehe ya ... heart, compassion , and friendship...
Thats what they meant when 7 out of 14 voters voted for weight, proportion, vs height...
so lets make it easy

Average Heart = of gold
Compassion = of a mother with newborn child
Friendship = BFF

18 inch Biceps.. You mean they are referred to as Pythons (Yeah!!! Whatcha gonna do!)

Actually I find very muscular feminine androgynic people very attractive.

Well as for diets, I would suggest at least one book, "You: On a Diet." Only because I've found most of its material to be accurate to the currently known research around weightloss and appetite [specifically]. It's a good little book, especially if you're looking to understand weightloss/gain more than anything else.

As for the rest, I'm not sure, I'm thinking about it. :-/

PS: As for the body shape issue, there's little that can be done with exercise and diet to change the fundamental shape of a person, save for surgery. That's all I know in that regard. o_O

Like the expression says, "Does these make my butt look big?"

Diets and exercise can change the width and weight of a person, not so much the proportion. Also Loosing weight opens much more options for what one could wear. Ever notice the selection of clothes that stops at size 16. 16+ is much more difficult to find good styles to wear.

I know. At least I've been able to find nice t-shirts in the 22/24 [womens] category again. As for men's, that's easy for some reason. I'm betting because everyone buys men's t-shirt and jeans more often than women's t-shirts and jeans here in Wichita. o_O
