I went to Dr. Cardenas in 2015 when I was 35yo for FFS and have been VERY happy with my results.

I am now getting Buttock Implants, Hip Implants, plus liposuction and fat redistribution through him. I am very thin so BBL is out of the question.

I was a bit too hasty in putting a deposit down and now I am panicking that this is the wrong decision.

My concern is looking at his pictures for Hip or Buttock implants is that the buttock implants as well as the hip implants look like they are placed too high and look unnatural. However I am also aware that he does not put much of his work on his website. Oddly some of his best work I have seen people personally post through other websites.

I am hoping to find others who have had body contouring done by him and hear about your success or failures. Hopefully some of you have some before/after photos as well.

Hello Nat,

I'm Lori Dee. Welcome to Susan's Place!

Thank you for joining our forum.

We strive to make this a safe place to find information and share your thoughts and comments. No matter who you are, you are always welcome at Susan's Place.

I don't know anything about this particular surgeon. But I know that many do not post all pictures on their websites due to the confidentiality of the patients. However, they usually do keep a photo album in their office that patients can look at. Perhaps you could contact them, explain your concerns, and ask if they can send you copies of the photos. Generally, they may not, again confidentiality. But if you explain that you are a former patient looking to have more work done, they may be able to help you.

We would like to get to know you. Once you feel comfortable here, please feel free to stop by the Introductions Forum, introduce yourself and tell us something about you.

When you click on the HOME button, you will see a page that lists all of the various sub-forums by category and topic. Each sub-forum has a description of what that forum is about, as well as any guidelines for posting.

Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL-AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.

I will add links below that are important for new and returning members. Pay special attention to the links in RED.

Until then, if you have any questions about the Susan's Place site and the Forums, please feel free to contact me at    LoriDee605@outlook.com

Once again, welcome to Susan's Place!

Hi Nat

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

Women truly come in all shapes and sizes and that includes every variation of our bodies.  When I changed my life around I never considered surgeries like buttock or hip implants.  Whatever changes happened through hormones, I simply accepted them.  Back then information about these options was extremely limited.

I understand your concern about your appearance and it is very natural to want to feel confident in your body.  However, it is important to remember that having small or less pronounced hips or buttocks does not make you any less of a woman.  Many females are naturally slender or have minimal curves and they embrace themselves as they are.  It is important to remember that all of these body types are normal for females.  A woman's body does not have to fit a specific shape to be valid or real.

If you are having doubts about Dr.  Cardenas' work with body contouring, it would be wise to take a step back and carefully consider your options.  You do not have to stay with a surgeon if you are unsure.  It is better to feel completely confident and trust the person who will be doing your surgeries.

You do not need to change anything to be valid or real.  Any decision you make about surgery should come from your own wishes to feel more comfortable and confident, not because you feel you are missing something as a woman.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.   I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always

Thank you for the welcome, I came out in 2015 and my hips have long been a source of dysphoria.

The decision to go ahead with a hip augmentation was years in the making, however I am questioning Dr Cardenas' ability in this realm.

Other suggestions for surgeons with good results of hip implants are welcome.

Thank you,

Welcome to the site ma'am. As the resident dude around here I wanted to extend my howdy and the tip of my hat to ya.
Love who you love, do what you want, and live life to the fullest. They're gonna talk about you anyways so might as well make their conversation interesting. Live as yourself, not someone everyone else wants you to be.
