Sup'
Been lurking around, and this seems the best place for...I guess help.
I've been having some issues concerning my gender and identity, so I'll try to be honest here, since I usually lie everywhere else on the internet.
I was born a female, but have always felt like a male, and the stress and frustration that has come from this has been slowly building up, so I feel the need to finally act on my instincts and see how it feels, which is why I started looking for websites and forums to help. I actually didn't know that FtM's existed until about 3 years ago. I mean, it's like it was something that I always knew in the back of my head, but didn't give serious thought to it until I tried to figure out the reasons why I acted the way I did, and was amazed to find that there's a lot more people out there that feel the same way I do.
I'll save my life story for another thread, but for now, hi.
Some more stuff about me; I love comic books (primarily DC/Vertigo, Image and Dark Horse comics), collecting action figures, anime, video games, my pet rats, and art. Actually art is a big part of me, considering I hope to be an art teacher soon.
But, yeah, anyway, that's all for now I guess.

Hi Vine,
A warm Aussie welcome to Susan's. You have taken a mighty leap of faith in opening yourself up. That trust and faith you have put in us will be honoured. Don't be concerned about your tendencies to not be as truthful as you think. Under these circumstances it is a coping stratergy many of us use to protect ourselves from the unknown. You are perfectly safe here to express you thoughts and feelings. You are obviously old enough to appreciate the fact that if you want the truth, you need to express it.

Depending on how and where you see yourself in the next 5, 10 years, will determine the speed at which you want to take this journey. So at some time or other it will be very beneficial for you to find a therapist who is ell experienced in TG matters.

Hope to hear more of you in time to come. Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
