A conversation with my brother suddenly got me thinking about things. We were joking around and he kept saying 'whats wrong with you women' in a joking manner. He doesn't know I'm trans so I haven't ask him to use different pronouns but that bugged me. I'm still seen as female.
Then I start thinking about puberty and how he's getting facial hair and getting a deeper voice and growing taller while my face is basically hair less, my voice is high and I'm short.

I'm older than him so I wish I could of been taller and look more mature than him. You know like an older brother is supppose to look compared to a younger one. Instead I feel like a little sister.

Basically what I want to say is I want T already. :/

That all sounds fairly mature to me.  :)   Trust me, shaving is just so overrated.  I understand your wish to "get on the drugs" totally too.

Karen.

You might want "Human Growth Hormone" too, unless your bone growth plates have fused.

Human Growth Hormone? I've never heard of it but I'm going to assume its to make children and people who are still growing well grow some more. I think they might of already fused. Haven't grown in a while but thanks. I'll have to look into it more.

I understand the frustration. Both my younger siblings look older than me.
You're right, human growth hormone is what makes people grow. In most people, it stops once they reach adulthood and the growth plates in their bones fuse.
By the way, I like your pic.

Yeah it pretty much sucks. My onther younger brother will soon enough be taller than me too.
Well I have a few more years till adulthood so maybe... And thanks it's from the manga Dorohedoro. I though it fit my mood at the moment.

Sasumu, I think most of us can totally emphasis with your frustration at getting gendered by your brother.  It's always annoying to get stereotyped for something that you're not.

As an aside, it sucks for ftms, but growth velocity pretty much drops to zero by about 14-15 years, with peak skeletal growth around 12 years of age.  I'm quoting the average time line here for what they call phase III skeletal growth (taken off hand wrist x-rays and cervical x-rays).  In other words, there's a huge advantage for early intervention for ftms in that there's a higher chance that you'll grow to the cis-male height that your genes would allow.  I'm not an expert on this (my interest in skeletal growth lies elsewhere) - but I suspect that mid-teen hGH and T would probably allow for some additional growth in high for a mid-teens ftm.

And I agree with everyone else.  Shaving is so over-rated - I hate it with a passion (especially since I used to get a lot of acne around areas where I shaved).

Im nearly sixteen... Would hGH do any good for someone at that age? And the soonest time I would be abel to get on T would be between six months to a year, if everything goes well that is. It might be too late by then. If I did start using it would I just have to go to my doctor and ask about it?
Haha I just wanna try shaving at least once. I always loved playing with those fake shaving kits for kids when I was younger.

I'm sorry to say this, but the chances are that your growth plates are pretty much close to closing or are closed.  To have a very good clue/almost definitive check would be a combination of a hand-wrist x-ray, and a lateral skull x-ray to see what stage of skeletal development you are at.

If the plates are not completely closed, there may be a slim possibility of doing something, but as I said previously, it's not really my area of expertise so I can't say anything more.  You will definitely need to see an endo for this as it's stuff that we've only really played around with in recent times.  (And before anyone criticises me - my definition of "recent" is less than 10 years of either retrospective reviews or studies)

I never had much of a beard to start of with - the first time I saw a transgender friendly doctor regarding getting a referral for therapy, he asked me straight out whether I'd had had electrolysis (and the answer was no *lol*).  (Yes I was pushing the limits at the time by showing up male mode and with my pathetic 2 day stubble).  I guess that's what made the whole shaving thing really suck for me - I had a pathetic beard that needed to be shaved (couldn't grow anything with it), but shaving really irritated my skin. :(

Ah well atleast people might think I'm cute because of my hieght. I have that going for me right?  ;) I'll have to have a talk with my my mom about this. Shaving's really that bad? But atleast you don't have to do that now guess you were lucky to not have so much facial hair to begin with. :D
