Any Experience with loss of depth over long term?
March 06, 2012, 09:28:48 PM
Hi all
I'm 9 years post-op ( Meltzer in 2003 ) and have been experiencing some problems with dialating and loss of depth. I was doing ok using the largest (1.4") dialator for maintainance up until last year when I started experiencing tightness and pain. I'm now back to the 1.1" dialator and that's only to the first dot with quite a bit of effort and discomfort. My GP tells me that the problem is build up of scar tissue.
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I'm considering going down to Philadelphia to see Christine McGinn as this is within driving distance ( I'm in Boston ) so if anyone has any opinions on her work, I'd love to know more.
best

9 Years Post Op and just now having problems? What did Meltzer have to say about your problem?

In general, I cannot get anyone to say anything without an in-person consultation. Given that I live in the NE and he's out in Arizona, I'm trying to find an alternative to flying all the way out there for a consultation. I'm a bit dissapointed by the level of after care and long term care for SRS. Have to say that this is severely lacking in our community.

I am two years post op with Meltzer. I have never had any difficulty dialating although I think that sensitivity could be better. If I were you I'd be on a plan to AZ and get your pussy checked ASAP. Don't wait!

nearly 11 yrs here, and I have lost some depth too, but I do believe it is a build up of scar tissue too, and believe the correct route here, is to seek help on this asap also.
