Hi--my ftm partner has been on T for 14 months, and recently he has had to reduce his dose due to liver concerns (his dose had been ... mg every 2 weeks, injected; now it's ...). He has all along been having a terrible time concentrating since he went on T, and now just when he thought things were getting better, it's gotten worse. Has anyone had any side effects having to do with concentration and mental abilities in relationship to changing T doses? Would love to hear your experiences. Thx! Best, H.

Hi helios,
Firstly, thank you for being such a supportive partner. I'm sure your support and presence is a rock of strength for him.
Secondly, your dosages were modified as it's not acceptable to post dosage rates.

Generally speaking any HRT programme, be it for FtM or MtF, may have an effect on an individual as to being able to concentrate and other memory functions. It pays well to keep in close contact with your prescribing physician in this way, so medications can be monitored regularly and adjusted accordingly. Drugs have different reactions on different people. Your physician will be aware of this and should modify according to reported results.

Wish you both a long and memorable lifetime relationship.

Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
