:) Thanks everyone  ;D You're all wonderful people that I look forward to catching up with each day. And the quote is definitely from The Crow, one of my all-time favorite movies, still brings a tear to my eye at the end when he is finally reunited with Shelley.

Have you hard about the "reboot" of the Crow franchise? How do you "improve" upon or "update" such an amazing classic movie?

Thanks April and the same with you.  :)  The ending always gets to me too.

I heard about the reboot of The Crow movie and I'm not too fond of it.  I don't think you can improve one of the best movies ever.  I think it is like spitting on Brandon's grave.  To be honest The Crow franchise should have stopped after the first one.  The Crow City of Angels was okay but the last two were just horrible.

I don't mind the idea of sequels as long as they are done respectfully and not done simply to cash in, or to simply duplicate what's already been done. There was much talk of a female lead film, and if it had been based on the graphic novel "The Crow: Flesh and Blood" I think it could have been good. The second one was good to me. The third was too poorly realized with a bland cast and second-rate acting, the fourth was thrown together. I read that the film company gave them next to no budget, and told them it had to be shot in six weeks. So almost every scene was done in one take whether it was good or not. I wouldn't mind something new and well done, but a reboot is a ridiculous idea when the first was perfect as-is.

The idea of a female lead for a Crow movie would be awesome.  After the first one the movies started to slowly dwindle.  Vincent Perez did a pretty darn good job for the shoes that he had to fill in his role of Ashe.  The third one was bland and just didn't have any passion to it and the fourth one just felt like a parody on Comedy Central.  I have yet to see The Crow: Stairway to Heaven but it doesn't look as good as the movie but I agree for the reboot-if it ain't broke don't fix it.  That's like doing a reboot of The Lion King >.>

I have the DVD series of Stairway, it was done respectfully and conveys the story well, although since it was made for television, it is not as violent, and doesn't have the same edge. The actor who plays Eric, Mark Dacascos, does a fine job in the role and is a martial-artist. He was also in Brotherhood of the Wolf, which I quite enjoyed as well.

Oh by the way.... free hugs to everyone in the thread =] <3
