Injection question - blood in syringe after shot?

So guys I have a quick question. I did my shot this morning and aspirated and whatnot and didn't see any blood, and injected and everything was swell. I left the needle in for 10 seconds or so to make sure everything was in there and no T would come creeping out. And then I pulled the needle out and a bunch of blood welled up and started running down the side of my leg. I cleaned it up and was okay with that because I'd heard of it happening before, so I thought it was no big deal. But when I looked at the syringe there were a few dots of blood in it sort of floating in the residue T in there. I hadn't seen that when I aspirated. Is it possible that the blood kind of got drawn up into the needle as I was taking it out of my leg? It's been 10 minutes or so and I haven't spontaneously combusted yet. Did I inject into a vein? Or did I botch the shot and not get it in my muscle? I'd think those are the only two places the T could have gone, right?

Just want to know if anyone has had this happen and what it means and stuff. Thanks guys!

Edit: Also it is a bit more painful than usual after the shot, usually it takes about a day and then my muscle is a bit sore and that leaves eventually. But this isn't a muscle pain, it's more of a "just-had-a-bleeder" pain. Not that this matters, but I want to make sure I've covered all bases here. Don't see any bruise yet.

I've done this before. I didn't die, but it left a painful bump in that spot for a couple of days.
My main concern was whether or not most of the testosterone leaked out my shot through the blood. As to whether or not you botched your shot, I donot really know enough to say though.
Meow.

I've had it happen once, and yes, I promptly panicked. You should be fine if it's a one time thing, might have went *through* a vein as opposed to in one.

Everything I've read on nursing forums (because I was super paranoid before I started injecting) leads me to think you nicked or went through a vein, but didn't inject into one. I'm really glad you haven't spontaneously combusted. :)

Thank you guys! Today all seems well and I have the beginnings of the usual muscle pain so hopefully it got where it was supposed to. Jason, I am very glad to hear that you didn't die. That would have come to me as a great surprise. I guess I must have just gone through a vein. Felix, I am super paranoid about it also, I even printed out that step-by-step sheet you linked me in my last injecting topic and read it each time I do my shot. It makes me feel better because I don't have to worry over missing a step.
