Reason for Selecting Name and Picture

I am soo serious that I need to create a fun thread.  Some use their actual name on Susan's while most don't.  Some use their actual picture, some use symbols, some use an imaginary character, and others change their picture like wallpaper.

I picked Wendy because she is the hamburger girl that was loved by her dad.  (My dad loved me but he always told me to stop acting like a girl.  He was not like Wendy's dad.)  I am not sure which girl's name I would pick if I changed my name. Most likely it would not be Wendy.

I liked the picture because this lady looks older as I would envision myself if I had grown up in a female body.  She also looks shy, mysterious, intelligent and secretive.   ...and if secretive has its virtues then I am virtuous!

I use my real pic for the most part.... I dont update it as often as Id like, but getting people to take pictures is a pain LoL...  as far as the name I use its a play on words incorperateing my personality and part of my chosen RL name...

LynnER, liner<sp?> as in a straight line, as in a drum line, as in straight forward, as in one track mind LoL.

I hate being different (heh heh....not really), but my mother chose the name Beverly for me when I was born.  Actually my middle name, I use it as my first name.  Mom's gone now, but thanks mom!

The avatar gets changed when the mood strikes me.  Generally, I use a pic I feel is beautiful, like the rose here (now).  Reminds me that in our transition, we are like roses, slowly opening to our most beautiful.  Otherwise, I like to use classical or modern art, usually with a lesbian motif.

Like Bev, my mom chose Beverly because it was her mother's maiden name but unfortunately I didn't end up with it.  Instead I got my dad's name with a Jr. after it.   Since the name never got used (no GG siblings), I adopted it and Ann is the middle name of someone very important to me.

The current pic is a gown that I wore to a formal event in Atlanta and I love it as I think it's one of my better photos.  You can't really tell from the pic but the gown has a jacket with silver embroidery running from left shoulder down to the right hip.

I didn't pick my name as much as it picked me. A little over 35 years ago when I was admitting to myself I was always meant to be a girl, it just came to me and I've been Karen Lyn ever since. At first I only used it in writing. Then, with the advent of computers, I used it on the BBSs. I changed it legally 10 years ago. My ex had a fit. (she doesn't like the name. Too bad.) 
I change my avatar when it suits me. The current "Phoenix Rising" is one of my favorites.

I started out as Melissa by narrowing it down to a name I liked just prior to joining the forums and I liked it so it stuck.  It actually only took me a couple days to come up with, but I stuck with it.  Now it's my real name.  For my current picture, I am using a tattoo that I have on my back because I really liked it, it has my fairy who watches my back and it allows for some anonymity.  I may change it back to my face if I feel like it.

Hmmm, well TogetherWeCan is the name I chose for here for a few reasons. One is that my usual nic would give me away which wouldn't bother me however it would out Brooke before she is ready so I chose it to be incognito, the meaning should be obvious. I wanted Brooke to know that TogetherWeCan get through this and accomplish anything.
My avitar...well that is another story. Ya see I found one of these lil blonde characters once and she kinda looked like me so I captured it and used it for an avi elsewhere. All of a sudden I kept stumbling across this chic all over the net (I think she was stalking me ) and she has different outfits and poses so I started collecting them. They are called "dollz" and I am addicted to them. I have, I dunno  prolly a hundred or more versions of the same girl and change her to suit my mood. It is kinda like playing Barbies lol.
A few of the mods here have seen what I really look like and of course Brooke knows what I look like and I do kinda look like this avi or vice versa lol. I don't use my real pic for the same reason I don't use my usual mssg board nic.

funny story: member here named Lucy started using this same doll in another outfit and the first day I kept thinking I was losing my mind because I was seeing posts I was certain I didnt create lol then I realized Lucy was also using one of the Dollz lol. It tripped up Brooke too as she is used to me and my dollz avis all over.

Blair is my name.  I fell in love with the name Blair as a girl's name a long time ago, for whatever reason.  Conveniently, both Blair and my previous birth name are obscure, European, mono-syllabilic and stick in people's heads.  So they're somewhat similar in those regards.

The picture I have up currently is a placeholder of sorts.  The woman in this picture isn't as attractive as I am, as my lips are much fuller and I actually have thick, wavy blonde hair naturally.  I do intend to straighten and dye it black with a pink streak though.  I also am more goth/metal in my makeup/dress, while she's just metal.  Which is good.  She's a good enough representation until I get a my stupid webcam working again, buy more makeup and make some pictures.

Right now I have done no alterations physically in regards to transition, aside from groom my eyebrows, manage my hair in a feminine style and work on my nails.  I have a laser hair removal appointment this week, and an electro consultation on friday, though!

I chose Julie for my first name because there have been several Julies in my life, all that I really liked.  Marie has been a middle name in my family for decades.  JMM (my initials, both ways) has also been in the family forever.

The pic is me and I like to keep it current.  Partly because it reminds me how I'm doing in my transition (I need a lot of positive feedback!) but also because anyone who has known me for a while will see what a miracle transitioning is.  It's been such a positive thing in my life and brought me so much happiness I want everyone to experience that happiness themselves.  So whatever I can do to encourage others to follow their heart too, I do, even if as inconsequential as keeping my avatar updated.

My names are Marq and Mia. Originally just having to throw around the one name and always feeling like I should have a unique name I changed Mark to Marq many many years ago. When I recognized the female persona within I thought for a couple days of a name that would suit that side. And I chose Mia.

As for my picture, when I first started to post on here I responded to a post about creating a zwinky by creating a male zwinky and a female zwinky as we envision our appearance. I thought it very symbolic to represent the two of them hand in hand in the image and have stuck with the image ever since. I've been planning on replacing the avatar image with a real image but have been waiting for my hair to grow long enough to get some good fluffy pigtails. Assuming the picture comes out alright I'll replace my avatar with the picture.
