I was hanging out w/some friends in the woman's dorm& someone knocked& the girl whose room I was in said I could open her door. So I greeted the girls at the door& one took a huge dramatic step back and said, "whoa." I looked at her like HUH?

She heard me speak like...2x pre-t& once referred to me as "she" where she was instantly corrected.

I guess she's under the impression I'm a female with a male voice, male clothing& (some) facial hair even though I (and others) have said I'm a guy.

I really don't understand what it is w/her. Initially I thought maybe it's because she's not from America& she grew up in a very conservative area of the world..but then that would mean all the more she would have read me as male from the start. I don't know. Just found it weird& I can't really complain to people around here without outing myself.  :-X

Every individual, see's things/people differently, including you. One of my gf's best friends, I was almost insistent, that her fiance was a f2m like me. I almost felt bad judging him the way I was, but I couldn't stop myself. A year later, it's obvious he's a cis dude, and I'm just a judgmental dick. His hips and soft feminine face is what initially set me off.
This girl saw something, that triggered female. I wouldn't let it bother you too much. I've  been on T 4 years, have a thick tool bag stache, but have come to accept I still have feminine features. So do a lot of cis men. If you make a big deal about it with your friends, you're going to look defensive, and it may throw you off (if you're living stealth).
I've lived stealth for the last 12 years of my life. My gf and family are the only ones that know my past, and one night while a bunch of my gf and I's friends were hanging out, drinking, and playing a drinking game....her gf drunkenly says "You're Transgender aren't you?" she was laughing, and said it in a joking manner. I laughed it off and kind of said "wtf" in my head. It was never brought up again, and frankly, I don't think she remembers a lot from that night, but who knows. Maybe she sees something in me, or has known someone in her life, who is. She's a cool chick regardless, and definitely wouldn't care, but like I said....some people just see things, differently.
