President Barack Obama may well be leading the pack. Aside from the false reports about him being a secret Muslim, an atheist, and a member of a radical Christian church, people are still – nearly four years later – trying to claim he was not born in the United States, but is really a Kenyan citizen.
So it should not surprise anyone that there's been yet another supposed skeleton in the president's closet, as apparently a nanny who cared for the boy who would be president back in Jakarta, Indonesia in the late 1960s was transgender.
First and foremost, it's important to note that the source of this news is the Daily Mail, an English tabloid with a history of playing a bit fast and loose with the facts. They label Evie (no last name), 66, as a "gay transgender prostitute," and while the article is fairly positive about Evie's life and experiences, the paper itself has a history of tabloid journalism with a bent toward demonizing the left wing.
