Oh, oh, oh,...I got one ( As she raises hand ) ... I ran into a friend from work  (the only person I'm actually out to at work) at the local Wart-Mart the other day while leaving and she introduced me to her brother as her gf from work Maddie . We talked for a minute or two then went our separate ways. The next day at work she was telling me her brother was asking a bunch of questions about me. Like what job I did and all. And then said he was shocked that a women like me would do that kind of work. We work in a factory that makes rubber for other factories that make tires. My job is one they usually don't put women on, there are a few but not many. Any way she asked him what he meant by " woman like me". He said he just figured that a nice looking, well kept woman like me probably worked in the office like HR or something. I was floored to say the least because the day I met him I had on NO makeup, jeans, and just an ol t-shirt.

Well done Kountrygurl.  It wasn't the clothes or the makeup - you just are a nice looking woman.  That's the obvious conclusion.

I was leaving the movie-theatre earlier today, and when I held the door for a woman and her five-year-old daughter, the woman said "Say 'thank you' to the kind young gentleman." My only thought was Yes!
Carry on my wayward son,
There'll be peace when you are done.
Lay your weary head to rest,
Don't you cry no more.

Despite feeling totally sick and gross, I made my way to Trader Joes this evening. I was waiting in the back of a line, and holding my carrying basket which was admittedly stacked to the top. I was only mildly struggling to hold it up.

A guy bagging at the register spotted me and winked at me signaling to come over to the end lane, and I got to basically skip to the front of the line as he opened another register. He said to me "I saw you holding that and didn't want to make you wait!!". I told him that was very nice of him, and he kept batting his eyes at me.

Then, I had a craving for a taste of fast food because I hadn't eaten anything today and I didn't feel like cooking tonight... so I stopped at Wendy's for a 4pc nugget and some fries. The guy at the window said to me "Any sauces, miss??" I said "yes a honey mustard please", then he winked at me and threw in 2 more nuggets along with the honey mustard! Then... "here you go" followed by another wink!! What the heck!!

I laughed out loud at this point. How I am getting winks looking like crap and coughing up a storm is beyond me. But it sure did cheer me up :) Just had to share!

It's weird, but I've noticed the same thing, guys give me extra attention when I feel like crap and think I look like crap (Damsel in distress syndrome?) I don't know, but I do appreciate the extra consideration at times especially when I'm not feeling well

Yeah weird huh... I wonder if it's the slight bit of whateverness to our attitude when we don't feel so hot. Like, we REALLY don't care in that moment- and it ends up actually making a better pass?

So interesting, I feel like I've totally witnessed it before too.

I stopped to try a sample of sushi while I was at the grocery store (I always check out the samples)  :)  I was trying to explain to the nice little Japanese woman that I thought her sushi was great but I couldn't afford to buy a whole sushi role

So then a random (somewhat attractive) guy bought one for me and said "A tall beautiful woman should always have sushi when she wants it" and then he just walked away

I was dumb founded, I thought I looked like crap

The cute lil' Japanese woman said "He like you" and that I should go after him, so I looked all over the store but couldn't find him anywhere

It was strange, now I'll be thinking about it for quite awhile

so some co-workers/friends from a past job started a (2 piece) band and invited me to their first gig. one of them had been to my house and met my girlfriend a week before, the other didn't know her.

as we walk into the bar, the one who doesn't know my girlfriend, and his girlfriend were walking by, i said "hi!", and waved. i was right in front of them, they saw me, but did the "i don't know you so i'm gonna pretend like you were waving to someone else." then they walked right by. i was a little upset at first, then i  thought "oh, wait, they didn't even recognize me, lol!"

so that was pretty cool... we ordered drinks and headed to where they were setting up in the music room. it took about 30 mins for the one who knew my girlfriend to figure out who i was.

I'm still trying to figure out why he just walked off after showing so much bravado... Maybe he's actually kinda shy? Has a busy scheduled? Did he suddenly clock me?

It was a really good sushi roll though, a 'New York crispy crab roll' and I'd been wishing I could afford to have one, but it's so expensive like $9.00

Since their expansion a few years ago the store has added a lot of cool stuff, what use to be your average produce, butcher, bakery and deli area now also has these little specialty islands

You can get fresh made tortillas, sushi, pizza, a whole rotisserie chicken, Hot wings and a whole bunch of other stuff

I usually make my rounds of all the various samples as I'm picking up the stuff I need  8)  Makes shopping a bit more enjoyable and sometimes I get to try something new and interesting  ;D

Not so much a pass per se, but, a guy I used to work with at Valeo said I looked more like a woman than ever. He hadn't seen me in over 6 months. Huston Huddleston also said, "It's interesting, I wouldn't have guessed u were transgender just from looking."
