It's a very simple moment but it made my day  :)

The delivery man of a courrier company rang at my door because he had a parcel for my brother (he said his name).
My bro wasn't at home so I answered: "Yes, ok!" and opened the door.
He said: "Hi, XXXX (my brother's name). Here's your parcel, you should sign here" and then he handed me the sheet to sign.
He thought I was him and didn't question, yay! ;D
What does my gender identity has to do with my pizza order?

I've been noticing it a lot recently. I can go out in public all alone and even as self conscious as I am about people looking at me I don't see or have those feelings anymore. It could be that I just gained a TON of confidence from getting my ID changed but I feel like I just blend in now.

I had an interesting moment recently that left me both amused and horrified at the same time.

I had the Comcast service techs out Saturday morning to look at my cable modem issues and they ran a new cable to the house from the box (which is what I think fixed everything) but they again replaced the cable modem, this time with a combination modem/router. Thus far it's been rock solid but one cable did turn out to be flakey so I resolved to go to Fry's to get another. I left the house in my "usual" mode - female clothing, a bra, a nice blouse, my purse, no wig but letting my own hair down and wearing a cap to cover the MPB issue on top, and only very light makeup.

While at Fry's I was walking the aisles because they moved the ethernet cables and totally failed to relabel the aisles, and two middle aged guys are looking at me as I walk by. I'm not quite sure what they were thinking but I keep walking then stopped when I finally found the ethernet cables. Now this second hearing aid that I wear that transmits over to the good ear's hearing aid does help me hear a bit better in certain situations and I guess this was one of those. Without turning, I hear a  "Nice ass on that one."

I'm not sure if I was supposed to hear this or not but I didn't acknowledge it, picked up the cable I came for, exited the aisle moving away from those two guys, and moved on to the printer ink aisle without looking back.

Thus my amusement and horror at the same time. :P

Very sexist and "bad lad"-ish but it certainly sounds like a pass.

I love this thread.  I read it whenever I'm having a bad day.  Thought perhaps I should add to it.

Before I was trying to pass, I went on vacation.  I got called a guy three times, once in a wetsuit!  I'll admit I did have hockey hair and my clothes were never very feminine, but I was really shocked.

Now I'm trying to pass and having mixed results.  However, a girl flirted with me the other day.  When she was walking away, her friend said, 'you do realize you were talking to a girl'.  She seemed surprised.  So I'll take that as a half pass.  Still made me feel amazing.

Scene: Voter Registration Office.  I'm there to change my name and gender in the official record.

Worker:  How can I help you Miss?
Me:  I'm here to change my name in the voter records.
Worker: Fill out this form, please.
(He hands me the form, I fill it out.  I return.  He cursorily glances quickly over the form but clearly doesn't read it.)
Worker:  OK, everything looks in order.  Thank you.
Me:  That's it?  So do you need to see the name change order?
Worker.  Nope, we're all good.  Congratulations, Mrs. [My Last Name].

When someone tells you how messed up they think transgender people are, and then when they find out you are transgender, think you are going in the opposite direction. lol.

From the years I had quite a few memorable moments.

1) I was only about 2 years into self medding using just a combined contraceptive at the time (and had barely any breast growth) and getting my driving test. After passing the test without issues, I got my drivers license all printed up. Before leaving I checked to make sure everything was correct and found they put "Sex: F" on the license. At the time I was still very much in hiding (but slowly raising voice marginally so it wasn't noticeable to family) and never came out to anyone but it made me explode with joy inside. However, due to legalities and fear of being outed by that in some regard I had to let them know that they technically 'got it wrong' to avoid any issues down the line. I still regret telling them that till this day really but not a big deal - will happen with name change and all.

2) A few years past my GF at the time and I stopped at a restaurant in Ybor, FL [a restaurant that makes their own beer.. but I cannot stand the stuff]. Since the women's room was full we went into the mens room, washed up, etc since nobody was in there. A guy walks in, sees us, and doubletakes saying "OH! I'm sorry ladies" and goes to the women's room. We come out and he had this awfully confused expression on his face. I still wasn't trying to pass either and was wearing male clothing but a female hoodie and still trying to work my voice pitch.

3) Went to see my Gender Therapist (who has been working the field for over 20 years) for the first time and I was more out and confident but still nervous about the visit. I went in and she was a bit confused at first and didn't know I was the person she was seeing. After sitting in her office she proclaimed how confused she was as she was expecting a 'male' who hasn't necessarily started HRT (I was self-medding for 5.5 years on and off due to funds). Needless to say she thought after telling her I was the person she was expecting that I was a female looking to transition to a male instead and claiming male for that reason. I tend to be hard on myself and still debate to myself if she was being nice or honest as it's hard to believe compliments for me.

When your straight dude friend that you haven't seen in years (and suddenly reintroduced) gets a twinkle in his eye and starts asking you weird details leading to "so, are you seeing anyone at the moment?"

Okay, maybe doesn't mean a pass- but that twinkle in his eye sure as hell meant something to me since he #1 used to be my best dude friend and #2 is straight as an arrow! Wow, was not expecting that. Sometimes you can just tell when someone wants to make out with you. And it was there, right there. I almost just went for it out of principle, but I like kissing too much for it to mean nothing.

But then again, he is kind of hot to me now... This is confusing.

Just sent him a fb message demanding that he take me on a date. I'll hold him to it as well.

If he didn't recognize you as his former buddy, he's straight as an arrow and now he's crushing heavily on you then it is a total pass and another chapter in an amazing princess story. We need to do a lifetime film on you Jenny.

Today I went to Costco to change my name and picture on my membership card. I went to the counter showing my old card with male name and my new license and had a copy of the court order just in case it was needed. I told her that I had a legal name change and need to update my name and picture. She pulls up the account by the membership number on the card. She has this confused look and looks at the computer, me and my driver's license. She looks up and says: "Your not <my wife's name> and who is <my old male name>." I told her that that is my wife and I used to be <my old male name> and showed her the court order. Still confused she says, "but your not <wife's name> or <old male name>, what is you relation to him since you have the same last name." I told her no, I had my name legally changed, I used to be <old male name> and now I'm Sydney and here is the court order." Then it finally hit her and she says, "Ohh I see now." She updated the computer, had me take a new picture and handed me my new card. Then she says, "You look good. Have a great 4th of July Weekend!"

Talking to an older woman and then letting slip in an sentence "... but my girlfriend ......." and getting that look, I figured I'd quit while I was ahead.

I wore absolutely no makeup today and while walking to places I needed to be, I was still catcalled. Then I went to Walgreens and the cashier was asking another person to help me with my items and she kept referring to me as "she". Then the guy who took me was flirting it up wit me <3
Then I went to Marshalls and tried on clothes in the dressing room with no problem. And I went to Coldstone and got ice cream and the guys were just eyeballing me.

All without makeup <3333 It felt great

Congratulations! You are absolutely gorgeous, so I can see why the guys were checking you out. I'd be one of them.
