Hello all,

I'm an MtF from Rio, Brazil, and am currently on my last month of my masculine life. I have a blog telling about the transition which speakers of the language might be interested in. If there's a specific interest, I may translate any one of my posts to english or french, and as a 10-year-long researcher about the subject, I can answer a lot of related questions.

Just wanted to leave it out here so, maybe, future brazilians going through what I am may seek help "closer-to-home". There are a few pictures of my breast development (3 months HRT) so far too, tough, which is language universal. In facebook, I'm "Marcelo Viamonte" for the last 20 days.

My dear, I am also Brazilian, live in NY currently. I am so happy to see this post from another Brazilian trans. I have some questions I would like to ask you because I am looking for doctors in SP and Rio to do my FFS surgery (face surgery). Do you know or recomend anyone? Have you hear about the www.facialteam.com.br site?
How is the name change and gender change situation for us in Brazil?

I must be the stupidiest girl...? I made a post to talk about my blog and forgot to link it. Good go, girl. Anyway, link is in the OP now.

Yes, I have heard of Facial Team. Actually, I've heard so much that I have a procedure scheduled for the 29th of March. Yes, that's five days from now. That's why I'll begin my feminine life next month, I'll just wait for my face to heal. And during my stay in Sao Paulo (that's the only city in Brazil they operate in) I'll make a video-log of it which I'll post to my still blank youtube channel. Link will be here when ready.

Even tough I still require a week or two to give you a bullet-proof review of their quality, I can say their public-relations person, Fernanda, has treated me fairly, politely and tenderly during the 70+ e-mails we've exchanged from initial contact, payment, medical exams and final preparations. I've also been able to talk directly with one of the doctors through phone, and he was also a very polite and caring man, explaining my doubts thoroughly and completely. So, so far, I highly recommend them. They also have the very-public-example of Ariadna, a procedure they effected not five months ago, with perfect results.
