My initial start for HRT was at the age of 24,  I was on for 7 months, stopped for 6 and have been back on ever sence (with a few minor yet anoying hickups due to finances)

You ladies are lucky. Wish I'd started that early. 42 here.

Heh, 30 over here.

*shrug* I can not say I have any complaints really. Life has been exactly what I have needed, imagine that.

18, a couple of weeks after my birthday.

properly offically started just under 7 months after that but I was in proper care all that time, just it takes two GIC appointments at four month intervals to get HRT sorted out on the NHS and I got my first one three months in.

I started at 28 and paid for it all by myself.  My parents refuse to have anything to do with me.

Illegally at 16 1/2 to 29.
Legally at 29 1/2
I would not recommend what I did. I was just lucky I did not have problems.

Later than the rest on this thread.  I would have liked to start pre-teen.

I'm taking DHEA now, does that count?
I'm 16.
The second I turn 18 I plan on starting the whole process, hope to start T asap after that.

Hey,

Where is the option to take your vote away? How come I can not see the results without voting.

I Put in 40-50 because if I start it will be within that time period.

I think that Yvonne made this poll unchangeable; once you submit your vote, that is basically it!  You should be able to see the results of the poll after you are done voting.

I like to think about how it could have been if I'd started in my teens but then I wouldn't have my wonderful daughter. Besides, I never knew it was possible. For too many years I avoided anything to do with gender and missed out on a lot.  I'll be 52 when I have SRS after being on HRT for nearly 12 years. ouch!

Dear Yvonne,

I voted in the 25-30 category but that is misleading since things did not work.

However my wife and children are great so that things have a way of working out.

All I knew when I was young is that I was not allowed to be me.

DHEA is a natural hormone produced by humans.  It decreases as we age and some claim it can reduce aging if taken at an older age.  If a male takes more than recommended it can have some slight feminizing affects and vice versa for GG's.  There is a point in which almost any chemical will overload the liver and you will get very ill.
