Miki

Hi everyone.  My name is Miki and I'm a MTF type human recently re-engaging with the transition process after several 'false starts' over the last decade or so.  I'm a professional communications specialist currently working as a strategic communications consultant for a few local and national campaigns.  I live and work in the Washington DC Metro area.

I've been a long time lurker here at Susan's but never felt comfortable registering and contributing to any of the discussions here until I began my own transition process.  Weighing in before doing so always struck me as hypocritical.  Context is everything. :)

I will say that I am grateful for the regulars here for providing and sharing what they do.  I am sure there are more folks out there like me who just read and I hope you all know how incredibly helpful and fear-reducing to just be able to sit, absorb the sharing, opinions and testimonials and realize that there are other humans out there successfully navigating their lives around these and other related issues.

So, thank you.

Hey Miki welcome to Susans!  :)  I tried to send a welcome earlier but the site went all wonky on me.

I visted Washington DC this past summer as a tourist and I LOVED it!  I have never seen so many buildings, restaurants, and outside venders in my life!  I also saw street performers and that was very cool.  Everyone there seemed so important in their fancy suits.  It was my first time taking the subway too.  I honestly thought stuff like that only happened in the movies lol.  I definately would like to move to a place like that one day!  It's all exciting to me considering I'm a southern guy and our area only has 4 buses and a couple of taxis and a 1 story mall.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do.  :)

Hi Miki,

Just another warm Aussie welcome to Susan's family. I guess you don't need to know much about what goes on here. You're been lurking long enough. There's an exam at the end of this that you have to pass, in order to qualify for membership.

It;s just soooooo great to know you are an absolutely wonder MTF type human. Not too many of that sort here  I'm just so pleased you've re-engaged in this totally awesome journey. Welcome back aboard.

Hope to here more of your survival story, flipping in and out of this, can't be too easy. Anyhow, look forward to hearing more from you. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Oh! P.S.
The exam. ........ Hummm let me see.   How do you spell Miki?  ..... Now please!! No cheating thank you.
