Any significance of index finger vs. ring finger length?

I was just wondering if it means anything at all, about the length of those 2 fingers.
Someone told me that cis males have longer ring fingers than their pointers.

My pointers are longer than my ring fingers, but only a little bit.

Been on this site more often than Santa Claus at Christmas.

Bull I think is the correct way of interpreting the data

The main thing to be concerned about is the middle digit  :)

Oh?  Hmmm...well my middle fingers are a fair amount longer than all of my other fingers (which is useful sometimes  ;D).

Does it have to do with hormones while in the womb or something?

LOL... I was being humorous

I have noticed however that on my right hand the ring finger is longer than the index and on my left hand the index is longer than the ring finger

I tend to doubt if finger length has much if anything to with gender

Actually, if the ring finger is longer than the index finger, it means you were exposed to higher testosterone levels as a pubescent.  A scientist proved this by taking 6sprinters and predicting the outcome of multiple races.  He was 100% correct in his predictions over all races and all were done blindly.  I guess it isn't completely fact, but highly suggestive

It means you're not really trans, at least that's what I think the OP is trying to get at.

Hahaha!!  No, no, I would never suggest that something so trivial as this would mean that a person is not trans, if their fingers aren't certain lengths.

Somebody just said this to me after I came out to them, that is all.  Since people here are quite educated and experienced in trans issues, I thought i might be interesting to see if its valid or not.

I didn't mean to cause any offense to anyone; if that has happened, I sincerely apologize.

LOL! Oh yea? so what if you have an adams apple? I dont. Isn't that affected by testosterone? Which makes me wonder about the finger length difference.

Well I think it's been pretty well-studied. Your digit ratio should be pretty indicative of the hormones you got in the womb.

You have to be very honest when measuring though, because the difference between the sexes is determined by just a couple millimeters.

Personally my ratio is just above 1 but that's not a surprise because I'm also short, small, have a natural waist and a wide pelvis, etc.

I think it's ridiculous personally. I think female and male are so suggestive in the overall picture of human characteristics. If someone is born with a penis, their biological sex is going to be male and the morphological structure is going to reflect that.

There is no hierarchy in the trans community. Just a variation of an illusion. I don't think this xy is more xx than this xy. I think people desperately look for justifications for their transitions. When it's as simple as the jockulation "just being yourself".

Cisgirls don't debate who's vagina is more womanly than each other. So why should we? I thought pissing contests ended when we were males? LOL

Same here.  Some guys I know have gigantic ring fingers in comparison to their index

Are your hands also large?

my ring fingers are 2mm shorter than the index finger...and as someone else mentioned, no "adams apple" either

not only that but as an adult I have always had small boobs and very long nipples, very odd for a skinny person born with boy parts ;)
