Well I go tomarrow for my psch-eval so I'm wondering what to expect. What kinda tests am I going to go under, ect.

My appointment is going to last 3 hours so I'm wondering why so long. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It could be anything depending on the psych.  Expect a lot of talking, and possibly some probing questions that may go places that may be uncomfortable for you.
For you though, you need to feel out the psych and see whether or not you're going to be comfortable working with this person for a while.  The first psych I saw, I felt put out, and it put me off therapy for 4 years!

I hope it goes well for you and that you have someone you can work with.

A bit late, but what the hey...

All I can say is if you don't know what to do, just keep your mouth shut and pay attention. In the beginning, they're more than happy to do most of the talking. You'll get a feel for your psych. You'll figure out what they think of you, what they're looking for, what subjects to stay away from, and when you need to lie through your teeth. :D

Besides, there are tons of psychs out there. If this one goes south, don't be afraid to try someone else. It's your life and your health. No need to waste it on someone who isn't doing the best they can to help you.

My experience was that it was basically giving a pretty detailed life history, with emphasis on any hints of GID early on.  Their main job is to get you to ask yourself questions that will help you work out what you need.  They can also be a valuable source of knowledge on the details of transition.

well I took my psych eval and they told me it cam back "Inconclusive" So I had to take it again.

It's funny cause they said these tests were foolproof and get to the real heart of your issues. So what could that mean??

Maybe I'm inconclusive or just an engima?
