JadeRose

Hi girls (& guys).
Call me Jade.  I'm a thirty-three year old genetic male from somewhere in upstate NY, US.
I am at the point where I can not stop denying I am female.

I've felt this way for over twenty years and I've been bottled up for so long.
So, I believe life is worth living to be happy, and over the past couple of years I've started taking my steps!!!

My first right-now goal is going to be support.  I have few friends as is, and a family that well that, let's just say I can't talk to them about any regular routine stuff let alone anything a tad more dramatic!

Anyways, I've gone through a pretty large weight loss (@ 90 pounds) to start my steps and still have a ways to go.  I've been growing my hair out and its finally resting on my shoulders (yaay!) for the first time in my life.  My eyebrows are shaped, my earrings all rock ;) and things are definitely getting towards that awkward point.  I'm saying this because I haven't come out to the people above.  For other reasons I'm sure someone else besides me has been paranoid about (job, sanity ;)), I'm not going to force the issue here.

I've begun speaking with a therapist.
My next goals are banking and HRT, which I would like to start before my b-day in late 2012...

Well, without telling everybody my life story I'll leave things there.

Happy to meet you all!

Thx ;)

Hi JadeRose welcome to Susans!  :)  It's always good to have goals and as long as you begin with an end in mind no one can stop you.

Nice to meet you and hope to see you around!

Hi there, Jade, from sunny southern California.  Seeing a therapist is a good start, as is working on appearances.  Consider building yourself a roadmap of where you want to get to and what milestones you think you should meet.  You need only travel on your journey as fast as you think safe.

Good luck

Hi and welcome.
It sounds like you have a flexible path in mind already,  so be gentle on yourself and have fun.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome!  I really appreciate it!

I feel bad for taking a week to post back here, but my excuse is it's been a sh---y week. :)

I'm still a little nervous about things, who isn't lol, but I am hoping to be able to ask some questions here, and realize I'm not all that alone I guess lol.

I do have a plan, and am just hoping it doesn't take forever and a day to carry out.  I have to do things my own way but I am really interested in hearing about others' plans, worries, and successes. :)
